00:42Ukraine and the United States have reached a minerals deal that is according to several

01:13I hear that he's coming on Friday.
01:14Certainly, it's okay with me if he'd like to.
01:17And he would like to sign it together with me, and I understand that's a big deal.
01:21It is not the first time that a deal as such got presented to Ukraine.
01:25The U.S. had previously presented an offer that would allow them to access Ukraine's
01:30minerals in return for continued support.
01:33Zelensky had, however, turned down this proposal as it did not offer enough security guarantees
01:38for Ukraine.
01:41Ukrainian officials told the Financial Times that while this deal did not state explicit
01:45security guarantees either, its offer was far more favorable.
02:15Fears that Russian troops could capture or bypass the nearby city of Bukrovsk and move
02:24deeper into the country are higher than ever.

03:35She found a second breath at the mine, and also in this dance school.
03:45A choreographer before the war, Oksana now gives dance classes to teenage girls.
04:04A notorious French fugitive whose prison escape killed two guards last year was extradited
04:28to France after he was arrested in Romania.
04:38Mohamed Amra, also known as The Fly, was arrested near a shopping centre in Bucharest.
04:44Investigators who tapped his phone discovered he was preparing to leave for Romania roughly
04:49two weeks ago.
04:50They had then monitored cameras surrounding the residence in the capital which he had
04:54rented, and special forces were able to arrest him after he had left the building for the
04:59first time.
05:02Amra had been sentenced for burglary in Normandy and was suspected of heading a drug trafficking
05:07network.
05:08A French prosecutor said he was also under investigation for an attempted organized homicide
05:13and kidnapping that resulted in death.

05:40treatment for as long as necessary.
06:10Despite his hospitalization, the pontiff remains in charge of the Catholic Church.
06:40In 2013, he wrote a resignation letter in case his health ever stopped him from carrying
06:57out his duties.
07:10Meanwhile, worshippers have gathered around the world and in the Vatican to pray for Pope
07:28Francis.

07:47Syria's interim leaders have kicked off a long-awaited national dialogue conference
07:56intended to help establish the country's political future.
08:01De facto President Ahmed al-Shara, the leader of the Islamist insurgent group that toppled
08:05Bashar al-Assad, has promised an inclusive political transition.
08:09He also said all of Syria's communities were invited to the conference.

09:48adoption of EU sanctions against Rwanda.
09:51In 2021, the Grand Duchy signed a bilateral agreement with Rwanda to support the development
09:56of Kigali's international financial centre.
10:26The EU has also urged Rwanda to withdraw its troops from the DRC, and a Memorandum of Understanding
10:33concerning essential raw materials will be re-examined.
10:39This move serves as leverage to encourage Rwanda to comply with regional stability efforts.
11:10The fighting in the east of the DRC has left thousands of people dead and displaced, according
11:19to the UN.
11:20Numerous armed groups, often backed by different regional powers, have been fighting for control
