00:03for more than $330 million in its assistance for the Philippines.

00:08Meanwhile, the government agencies' plans are not yet finalized.

00:13At present, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is still evaluating

00:17the officials of each government.

00:24Malacanang approved the exemption of the United States

00:28for more than $330 million in its assistance for the Philippine security forces.

00:31According to Palacio, this is a big decision by the United States.

00:35It means that the United States' $336 million assistance to the Philippines

00:42for the modernization of the national security forces

00:45which is part of the $500 million foreign military financing or FMF

00:49approved by the US Congress last year under the Biden administration.

00:54According to Malacanang, even though the government does not neglect

00:58the AFP modernization program,

01:01it will be easier to do this through the help of the US.

01:24At present, the President is also evaluating the officials of the government agencies.

01:34That's why it's not yet certain if there will be a balance.

01:38But after Secretary J. Ruiz's meeting with the PCO,

01:41there is already hope for a change.

01:55In the removal of the EDSA People Power,

01:57Palacio gave a statement that the President did not want to erase history.

02:01Because even though today is a special working day,

02:05there is no directive of the Executive Board to stop anyone from removing the EDSA revolution.

02:10And no one is stopping anyone from participating in activities related to this.

02:15If there is the intention to erase the memories of EDSA People Power,

02:22there is a different way to do it.

02:25As a matter of fact, we declared it as a special working day.

02:28But it is considered just a regular working day.

02:31But what's the purpose of a special working day?

02:34It's to encourage people to join any event if they need to commemorate an affair.
