Taiwan's tourism deficit grew in 2024 as the country struggles to get its tourist numbers back up to pre-pandemic levels. Some experts say Taipei could think about reopening to group tours from China, ramping up tourism from Japan and South Korea or relaxing visa restrictions for tourists from Southeast Asia.
