00:11at Blackpool North Station. Fears of a man armed with a knife sparked a frantic police
00:17search in Blackpool yesterday. Officers and specialist dog units recorded the line near
00:23Blackpool North Station at 7.54am and a full area search was conducted. British Transport
00:30Police said a thorough search of the area was conducted but there was no trace of the
00:35individual and the incident was later shut down. A police spokesperson said officers
00:42were called to the line near Blackpool North Railway Station at 7.54am yesterday, February
00:4923rd. Two reporters were trespassed on the rail possibly in possession of a knife. Officers
00:56attended alongside specialist dog units and a full area search was conducted however there
01:01was no trace of the individual. Friends rallying around to help a Blackpool family as a little
01:08girl is taken to hospital in Liverpool. A little Blackpool girl aged five is seriously
01:14ill in a special children's hospital in Liverpool after being taken there with suspected
01:19sepsis. Lila Hope Harker who had to have two emergency operations on the same day. She
01:27was rushed to hospital last week and another one the next day. Her parents who have three
01:34other daughters are currently having to travel between their home in Blackpool and Alder
01:38Hay Hospital in Liverpool to see her. It comes not long after little Lila who has a
01:47number of health issues was in hospital in Manchester for three months when the family
01:52was helped by the charity Bono McDonald House which provides special accommodations for
01:57the families of young patients. A woman raped in Preston Hotel in Garstang Road as police
02:06launched an investigation. A woman was raped at a hotel in Preston at the weekend. Lancashire
02:14police were called to the property in Garstang Road forward at 4.25am on Saturday. The force
02:20said the investigation is underway but no arrests have been made at this stage. CSI
02:27officers examined the scene on Saturday and the woman is being supported by specialist
02:32officers. Three breakfast clubs come into all of these Lancashire schools. More than a dozen
02:40Lancashire schools are to take part in a government programme piloting breakfast clubs. Ministers have
02:49pledged to roll out the scheme nationwide but are first doing so at 750 primary facilities
02:58from April. All children in the schools will be able to access free breakfast and at least 30
03:03minutes of free child care every day. The idea is to help support parents into work by enabling
03:10them to drop off their children half an hour earlier and ensure no child starts the school
03:15day hungry. Schools will be encouraged to offer healthy, varied and nutritious breakfasts from
03:21wheat biscuits and porridge to fresh fruit and yoghurt. Activities like arts and crafts,
03:27educational puzzles, reading and more will also be on offer.
