00:00Hello there, good afternoon. It was a very wet start across parts of the south and south-east
00:05this morning, but the good news is that it's going to be brightening up. Though we can't
00:08rule out a few showers, quite blustery showers across parts of the north-west this afternoon.
00:13These could be heavy at times, with some hail, possibly even some thunder. Fairly similar
00:17across Northern Ireland too, and perhaps a few showers skirting the south. But for many,
00:22compared to Sunday, it's a much drier day on offer, with plenty more sunshine too, and
00:26temperatures still widely above average for the time of year. Highs of 13, possibly even
00:3114 degrees Celsius across the south-east. Then as we head into the overnight period,
00:37still a fair few showers on the cards, particularly in parts of the west, skirting their way eastwards.
00:42Once again, they could be heavy at times. Still blustery to start off the evening across
00:46parts of the north-west, but eventually we'll see winds ease away. Perhaps even some sheltered
00:50spots we could see some frost by the morning. But for many of us, once again, it should
00:55be a largely dry night on offer, and most towns and cities widely remaining into the
00:59low single figures. Then as we head into tomorrow, a drier and brighter start for many of us
01:06though. We can't rule out some slightly longer spells of rain, perhaps for Sussex and Kent
01:10to start off the day. Still a fair few showers moving into parts of the north-west, and then
01:15later on we could start to see some showers bubble up across the rest of England and Wales.
01:19But once again, plenty of dry weather around, some light winds, and plenty of sunshine too.
01:25A slight dip in temperatures compared to this afternoon, but still widely above average
01:30for the time of year. Highs of 11, possibly 12 degrees Celsius in parts of the south.
01:36Then what about for the rest of the week? Well, we could actually see another band of
01:40rain move its way through as we head into Wednesday, perhaps lingering for a time across
01:44parts of the south and south-east. But eventually we see a calming down of conditions. We see
01:49high pressure start to build across parts of the country as we head into Thursday and
01:54Friday, so that means it is going to be a slightly better end to the week. Lots of dry
01:58weather around, but that does also mean it could turn a little bit chilly overnight,
02:01perhaps seeing quite a widespread frost during the early hours of Friday. But for more updates
02:06on the week ahead's weather, you can catch Alex Burke-Hill later here on YouTube. Otherwise
02:10that's it from me. Bye bye.
