00:00There are new projects and new plans for the new Transportation Secretary, Vince Dizon.

00:06Let's get more details on this on-the-spot report of Joseph Moro.

00:14The former Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista has now officially sworn in

00:19as Secretary-General to Secretary Vince Dizon.

00:23Along with him are big projects such as mass transport projects

00:29such as Metro Manila Subway and North-South Commuter Railway Project.

00:34At the turnover ceremony held by the Department of Transportation earlier,

00:38Dizon thanked Bautista for what he did for the government.

00:43In particular, Dizon mentioned the historic privatization and privatization

00:48of Ninoy Aquino International Airport

00:50and two other local airports in the country.

00:54Dizon said that the responsibility of the government is heavy,

00:58especially since it affects the daily lives of Filipinos.

01:02In the projects that Dizon will continue, of course,

01:05the Metro Manila Subway Project and NSCR or North-South Commuter Railway Project

01:10that was previously mentioned by the DOTR that could have partial operability in 2028,

01:16but for now, it is facing the issue of right-of-way.

01:20The DOTR will study if it will go back or if the timeline of partial operability will still be followed.

01:30As for the POV Modernization Program,

01:32RAFIA said that it will continue but it still needs to be monitored

01:35by the 16% of jeepney drivers and operators who are not yet operating here.

01:41There are two projects that are being looked at privately.

01:44The MRT-3 and the EDSA Busway.

01:47Dizon also gave the President's order for him to replace Bautista

01:51to speed up the projects that will help ease the lives of commuters.

01:57RAFI, earlier, Secretary Dizon also met with the officials of the Department of Transportation.

02:03There are a few department heads that will be replaced,

02:06but it is not yet named by the government.
