00:00At least Red Sox fans were not complaining this offseason, as they've complained, it feels like,
00:04every offseason the last several years. Can't do it this year. They made some trades and made
00:09some signings that have definitely made them better, at least on paper. And now that Alex
00:14Bregman is there, you look at this one through four, it is really solid. Duran, who's now,
00:19I mean, a star, basically, in baseball and in fantasy too, stealing the bases that he does,
00:23followed by Devers, Bregman, Tristan Casas, Yoshida, they'll hope for more from. Trevor
00:27Story is back, they'll hope for more from him too. And then you have Abreu, Connor Wong,
00:32and the player that I like a lot, by the way, is Zidane Rafaela, who had a really nice season last
00:36year. I know that they don't like his strikeouts, George, but he does everything. He's played the
00:39infield, he's played the outfield. And so if Boston's in a position now to compete again,
00:44we'll get to their pitching, which is better too. But the Bregman signing was really the icing on
00:49the cake. I know they got the drama going on right now. It doesn't really affect us for fantasy,
00:53it affected more for reality. But Bregman, to me, George, is the fascinating name here.
00:58He's on a one-year deal. You can opt out if he has a good year. And I expect him to. I think
01:02he's going to be great for them. Yeah, I agree. Another player I don't really like all that much
01:08for obvious reasons, but I think his nose in Boston, granted that was against the Boston
01:12pitching staff, are fantastic hitting in Fenway. It's hard to see how it hurts him. All right,
01:18I think he's going to hit there. I think his home runs are going to rise. Maybe not dramatically,
01:22he hit 26 last year, so maybe he gets the 30. The RBIs, the runs, listen, that top four of
01:26the order is going to mash. All right, they should have no problem putting out runs up on the board.
01:31At the end of the line, middle of the line, it's a little bit more questionable here,
01:33but I guess you can't fix everything in one season. And I don't, by the way, I don't blame
01:37Boston fans for being upset. How you ever let a player like Mookie Betts, or you trade him away,
01:41is beyond me. Just beyond me, right? That's the guy you build your, you'd be thrilled to build
01:45your team around. And so they got pretty much nothing for him. But like I said, Duran, Devers,
01:50Bregman, they're all going to put up big numbers here. I have question marks about someone like
01:55Yoshida. I think he's about done, has nothing left. Their story, same thing. And by the way,
02:01you know, I know we joked earlier in the show, I wasn't joking about Devers has to move off
02:05third base. And one of the reasons why he has to move off third base is because they have a top
02:09prospect in Christian Campbell. And assuming he's ready to play, he needs to play second base.
02:15And if he's ready to play opening day, this is why this needs to happen. You're a much better
02:19team. That lineup now gets stretched out another one. So I kind of really like this as far as
02:24that's concerned here. I think the Red Sox made a lot of good moves. I don't think they're there
02:27with the Yankees, but I think I can make a pretty good argument that they're now ahead of the Orioles
02:31for number two in this division. Yeah. And could be climbing. They also have a young prospect named
02:36Roman Anthony and also Marcella Meyer, who are getting closer to the big leagues. I mean, this
02:40is one of the top young prospect organizations in baseball. And then you can't argue with what
02:45they did on the pitching end, George, too. They were just tired of throwing these nobodies out
02:50there late in the season. So they went ahead and made the trade for Garrett Crochet. They signed
02:54Walker Buehler. Remember they acquired Giolito and he missed last year. So they do have a nice
03:00young staff when Bayo is healthy. He has been a guy too. Tanner Hauk has been solid. I mean,
03:05this, this starting rotation is better than Toronto and Baltimore, George. I mean, I will say that. I
03:10mean, I look, I don't, I mean, Walker Buehler, I literally have no idea if he's anything like
03:15he was at the end of last season. This is an absolute steal and he's on a show me deal too,
03:19on a one-year deal, I believe. So, I mean, you think about it, crochet at the top, Walker Buehler
03:25at the top Bayo, who's so good too. I mean, there is no comparing Baltimore's and Toronto staffs,
03:31but the injury risk is greater on this team than it is the others. It didn't, you got some younger
03:38players here. Listen, I agree with you. All right. There's a lot of upside here. I don't really care
03:42about Giolito. I think he's done. Crawford's a nice depth guy. Buehler, I'm a believer in Buehler.
03:48Okay. As anybody who plays in fantasy leagues, I mean, I have in every league. All right. Always,
03:52I said, they always have Walker Buehler. So I believe in him, but hey, you're pitching at
03:55Fenway now, you know, and it can take some adjustments too. All right. So we'll see how
03:59he does there. I like Bello. Bello and Hauk pretty much, I think are upside guys. Crochet is an ace.
04:06So I really like what Boston has done here. All right. I think they're going to, I think they're
04:10going to be a good team. I truly do here. If everybody, if everything hits, by the way,
04:14they would be a very good team. It's rare that everything hits for you here. There will be
04:18injuries. And that's where I wonder about Boston, you know, when injuries hit and they will,
04:23what do we do? You know, are they, are they now back, Craig? You know, with the being,
04:28you know, where, oh, well, I'll get some, I'll spend it with somebody. You already mentioned
04:32their top prospects. They were strong phones. This is, this is another team that can go out
04:37and get anybody they want. If they, if they want to be that team. So I'm curious to see
04:41what direction are they going? Are they going to be now? Are they going to be the old Boston
04:44Red Sox? You know, are they still in that? Oh, maybe yes, maybe no. We want to save money,
04:48keep the prospects and keep the salaries down here. So I'm curious to see what direction
04:52they're going to go in.
