01:00Why is that happening is the question the teachers are asking.
01:31We haven't seen such a change in a long time.
01:34We haven't seen such a change in a long time.
01:42Aman is with us for the very latest on that.
01:44Aman, take us to the details of what the teachers are saying,
01:47given that Mani Sisodia's Delhi education model has been spoken about
01:51and is seen in good light, isn't it?
01:54It's essentially considered a successful model.
01:58Well, it has, but in Punjab now, the teachers' associations are somehow objecting it
02:04and they say it's putting their morale down also.
02:08And for the last three days, Mani Sisodia was in Taran Taran, Fatehgarh Sahib and Mohali.
02:14And in some schools, the teachers were not informed, their head principals,
02:19the head teachers were not informed.
02:21So, it was sort of an inspection.
02:24The education minister, Mani Sisodia, went and all of a sudden,
02:29they felt that it is an unauthorized person for the Punjab schools
02:33that's making an inspection or guiding the students for the policy.
02:38But whereas in Punjab, they should have been working on Punjab's education policy,
02:43which was promised on last year, 5th of September on Teachers' Day,
02:47it's still to be completed, it's still to be implemented.
02:50And other than teachers' policy, Punjab has a different decorum,
02:54a different order for the schools and for where the policy has to be implemented.
03:00So, whether it's Punjab's language or the teachers or their recruitment is concerned,
03:05Punjab's teachers' concerns have been raised.
03:09So, that should be addressed by the Punjab government itself.
03:12No one from the outside, coming from other states,
03:15where people have neglected the Delhi model as well and their government as well.
03:19So, people from their leaders, from their coming and inspecting schools,
03:23and the teacher is not acceptable.
03:25And for this, for 23rd of February, that is tomorrow,
03:28a meeting has been called in Moga of Punjab,
03:31where this democratic teachers' front will strategize how to object it further.
03:36And also, a warning has been given to the education department of Punjab
03:41that this sort of intervention or putting legs in the department
03:48will not be accepted and teachers will object it further as well.
