00:00The editing was very minimalist, you didn't cut very much and really just focused on the performance.
00:07Rafe, would you start with your performance in that scene?
00:10Edward is one of the best directors I've ever worked with.
00:13That's not just flattery because you're all here.
00:17But he has this gift of listening and it's very important that directors listen.
00:22I don't mean literally listen with the ear, but they listen energetically to what's going on.
00:28And the same with Stéphane Fontaine, our wonderful cinematographer.
00:32That energy between cinematographer and director is crucial.
00:35So when people say, what did you do? You actually just go on and start to do it.
00:41There isn't a lot of discussion. I mean there can be.
00:44If there's a real issue emerges, sure, people have to stop.
00:47Usually if they stop and discuss and discuss and discuss, the energy dissipates.
00:51So the ideal thing is it's just happening and it's just being shot and a little is said.
