00:00The first 1,000 Days of Life or F1KD of the Department of Social Welfare and Development that will give a cash grant to pregnant women and children up to 2 years old

00:10who are members of 4Peace.

00:12This is the national news of Noel Talacay of PTV Manila.

00:17But the problem of Jovelyne is that she gets pregnant until she gives birth because the income of her husband, the driver, is not enough.

00:25We need to pay the household expenses every day, including my children.

00:31She also doesn't have money to pay for the check-up of her pregnant child.

00:34I really need to breastfeed my child, but I don't have enough milk to breastfeed.

00:40She really needs more.

00:42According to the Department of Social Welfare and Development or DSWD,

00:46the needs of the children's health are not met,

00:51that every child of the 4Peace household will be given a chance to grow and reach their full potential.

00:59The DSWD believes that the future of the children is the future of our country.

01:08The pregnant mother and children from 0 to 2 years old under the 4Peace program can receive P350.

01:17It can be used for the check-up of a pregnant woman and her child,

01:21and for the vaccination of the child in the DOH-accredited health centers.

01:26For example, the pregnant woman will get prenatal or postnatal,

01:32because she needs to go to the health centers to monitor or track her pregnancy.

01:39And for example, if she gives birth, she also needs to bring the child for immunization.

01:45But according to the agency, it is possible to remove from the list the mothers' beneficiaries

01:50who are against the implementation of the F-1KD grant.

01:54We have municipal links, the so-called case managers,

01:59who really focus on visiting the loved ones,

02:03to see if they really comply with the conditions.

02:08According to the DSWD, before the F-1KD grant,

02:114Peace families have already received health cash grants worth P750.

02:19According to the DSWD,

02:21more than 68,000 pregnant women and mothers with children from 0 to 2 years old

02:28are under the 4Peace program across the country.
