The film is based on real events from the Three Evils of Xiangxi - the Falling Flower Cave girl. Each year, the village of La'er in Xiangxi must sacrifice a young maiden to the mountain god, or else the entire village will fall under a curse, with strange occurrences abound... The daughter of the Gui family, Gui Tong, unfortunately gets chosen by the demons. Langde and Qifeng both deeply love Gui Tong. On their wedding night, can they successfully rescue their beloved? How will the curse in the village be broken?
