00:00Sure, the rubble may pile, but he does it with style. Here's a look at the brand-new
00:03Hayato's Godzilla X-Kong The New Empire Stylus Series Godzilla.
00:19Introducing the latest addition to the MonsterVerse, the Godzilla Evolved
00:23version from Godzilla X-Kong The New Empire makes its debut to the Hayato's
00:27Exquisite Stylus Series. Set against the backdrop of the new film's colossal
00:31clash between Kong and Godzilla, this figure delves into the deeper origins of
00:35the Titans. Revealing a Godzilla's evolution after absorbing energy and
00:38awakening in the Arctic. Standing at approximately 7.1 inches tall, this
00:42figure faithfully recreates Godzilla's appearance based on original CG data
00:46highlighted by meticulously applied multi-layered paint job. Notably, this
00:51rendition showcases Godzilla's pink dorsal fins for the first time in the
00:54film, capturing his iconic roaring pose. I guess in the MonsterVerse, not every
01:00monster needs to move and while unfortunately though the king of the
01:03monsters doesn't move this time around, I'd like to thank the folks over at
01:06Hayato's that were kind enough to provide this sample of the new Godzilla
01:09X-Kong The New Empire Exquisite Stylus Series Godzilla that we could have a
01:13look at this review. This guy slated to drop in June 2025. Some of the asking
01:17sites that actually are pre-ordering this guy right now are asking for $50.99
01:22So this guy's gonna be around a $51 figure. Again, we're gonna go ahead first
01:25take the tape measure right to the very top of Godzilla's head. This gives us
01:29though a statue of him at about 7 inches in height or about 18
01:33centimeters tall. Then for its length from the end of its tail to the front of
01:36its snout, this Godzilla is gonna be about 10 inches of that or roughly about
01:4126 centimeters long. Actually, come to think of it, this might be the first time
01:45that Haya has released a Godzilla that has the pink dorsal fins. Sliding this
01:49actually over and bringing in the only other example I have in my collection, at
01:53least of Godzilla X-Kong The New Empire, this was a fully articulated Godzilla.
01:57One thing that's rather interesting if you look at the two is that the
02:01proportions and the way they sculpted the body are a little bit different. The
02:04new Godzilla though for the Stylus Series is a lot leaner. You can see
02:07especially on the front of his chest. He's still a little bit fuller in frame.
02:10Now with this figure though, they did use a lot of the same molds from an earlier
02:13Exquisite Basic Series Godzilla. So because of that, some of the more
02:18heftier aspects of Godzilla got carried over to this release. So while lacking
02:23articulation and the possibility of having any included accessories, does
02:27this though make a lesser looking Godzilla? I don't think at all. The one
02:30thing that I think that can be pulled off with the Stylus Series that can't
02:33necessarily be pulled off is the limitations that goes along with the
02:36posability. In fact, to bring back in Godzilla as posable as he may have been,
02:41I mean you can only really move his torso so far. I mean you can also move
02:45his arms, but again like limitations obviously are all there as well. And you
02:49can't really do all that much with his head. Now I say that though, there are
02:52people of course that can get this guy in a really cool looking pose, but again
02:56like limitations have to be expressed when it comes to a release like this guy.
02:59If you move though him out of the way and you start to kind of address the one
03:03that we're getting here for the Stylus Series, first of all like look at the
03:06pose that they got this guy in. His arms are extended out, his head is up front
03:11and center, and he's ready to blast his atomic breath. This pose alone I don't
03:15think I could have ever pulled off and I mean again with the size of the body
03:18that we were dealing with with the Basic Series, there'd be really no way
03:21that you'll be able to get Godzilla in a cool of a pose like this. One thing I do
03:24really like about the head sculpt though, while again incorporating some of the
03:27pink, it's a well-painted piece. The coloring though of the gray, if you were
03:31kind of looking at this and then you look at the gray that they've used for
03:34let me just get this guy in frame here, if you look at the colors the grays are
03:37very similar. Although to note though here with the Stylus Series, it looks
03:41almost as if they may have gone in there with a lighter coloring of gray as
03:44well. I also noticed too when it came to his skin that's a little bit shinier
03:48finish too. The pink that they've added to the dorsal fins and some of the
03:53also indications of the scales that he has on the front of his face, it's not a
03:56very bright pink either. I think they subtly approached the coloring and when
04:00it came to painting this figure, I think they've done a really nice job of that.
04:02Of course he does have his open mouth you can see inside there's his tongue
04:05probably not a good idea to get this close to Godzilla. I think yeah the teeth
04:09are painted really well. The eyes though very small but I think they've still
04:13done just as good of a job as they did for everything else that's on the figure.
04:15It's just really hard to kind of see his eyes though. I do really like the way
04:20they've added these rows of pink along the side for his scales. He's got on this
04:23side and certainly has it on the other as well but the pink is not bright. It's
04:27not in your face and that's probably a good thing too. The dorsal fins start
04:31relatively small and they work to these giant platelets that he has on his body.
04:34These though by the way are very soft and plastic. I was kind of even
04:37expecting them to be a more harder more less forgiving plastic but you can see
04:41there's definitely a lot of give there. I do like the way they've transitioned
04:45the color so it starts really like a like a dark almost even like a salmon
04:48pink. Down below here's the darkest of the colors but it gets progressively
04:51lighter as we get to the tips and kind of gets more to like a I don't know like
04:55an ivory or cream color. Some of the fins though I noticed when getting them out
04:59of the packaging and it wasn't just me I wasn't because I was doing this back and
05:03forth. I just noticed that some of these were a little bit curved. I wonder if I
05:06can maybe heat these up a little bit and see if I can straighten them out a bit.
05:09Of course the scales run from the top of his head. They start relatively small.
05:12They get progressively bigger and more dangerous and they get small again as we
05:16get to the end of the tail. But again like when you look at the tail here the
05:19way that even the links would work on the other articulation on the basic
05:23series there's no real way that you'd be able to get the tail flowing the way
05:26that it is right now. He does lack any bit of the posability but I think
05:30what he gains instead is he gets a natural looking pose that you would
05:34never ever be able to pull off with the basic series. Again when it comes to the
05:38articulation there's nothing really that we can run through here. What you're
05:40getting here is what you're seeing right now. There's more of a stature and more
05:44of a pose than anything else but again I think that they've done a really nice
05:47job on him. I still can't help but overlook the fact that
05:51yeah he's much leaner though. I mean like even if you look at his body he
05:55doesn't have as much of the stomach for example as the other Godzilla's. Now
05:58again a lot of that may have really to do with the fact that when we were
06:01looking at guys like this they were really using just other basic series
06:05Godzilla's and then they just re-released them again when it came to
06:08the Godzilla X Kong New Empire. I feel like maybe the better way to
06:13compare these figures is in fact when we do get ourselves the pink dorsal fin
06:17charged up version of Godzilla where you could do like to like and you'd be able
06:20to see the differences there. I think though when we eventually get this guy
06:23done in pink they're probably gonna be using the same style of body so with the
06:27overly sized proportions for his stomach for example this is a much leaner
06:32looking Godzilla a much meaner looking Godzilla and a much cooler looking
06:36Godzilla I feel to be putting on the shelf. I think when you start to throw
06:39around the word statue it turns off certain collectors. Ones that no fault of
06:44theirs like to go in there from time to time and readjust their figures move
06:47them around and give them in different dynamic poses and that's okay but I
06:50think there's definitely though a place to have a stylist series in your
06:53collection as well because I mean let's face facts as poseable as the exquisite
06:56basic series of Godzilla's have been where you can move the arms you can move
06:59the torso there's certain limitations that go with that Godzilla was a pretty
07:04large sized figure and even though you could turn the torso you'd never be able
07:07to get it in a natural pose and that's the most important thing a natural pose
07:11you could get him the legs to move you could get the head to go arched up a
07:14little bit but the thing I really like though that the stylist series brings
07:18to the table is that Godzilla looks like he's naturally doing the pose that he's
07:21in right now it means though is a trade-off that you can't do anything
07:24when it comes to moving the figure around but not all the figures have to
07:28do that in the end it's a figure that you get to appreciate and put on the
07:31shelf and even though I really wouldn't want to call this a figure it's one of
07:34the better-looking Godzilla's that we've gotten now I am certainly though
07:37interested to see what they're gonna be doing with a pink dorsal fin version of
07:40Godzilla which I think up to this again point we have yet to get but looking
07:44forward to getting that one but I'm sure though it's not gonna have the body
07:46proportions that we're getting here with the stylist series I'm thinking though
07:49it's probably gonna be the same body as the basic series just with pink dorsal
07:53fins instead what do you guys think of this let me know down below in the
07:56comments section how do you feel also when it comes to statues do you really
07:59are one are you a collector that really likes just to get a figure where you get
08:02the chance to pose it around or you kind of like the idea of having a figure or a
08:05statue like this that looks good as the moment you get it out of the packaging
08:09and continues to look good every time you look at it on the shelf a big thank
08:13you again to the folks over at hi toys that did provide this sample of the
