00:00My parents taught me the value of time, the value of money.
00:05They always told me to work and save.
00:09And I think this is what inspired me to become an entrepreneur and a businesswoman.
00:18I remember growing up in a very big household, like an extended family.
00:23And we had a huge swimming pool.
00:25So one of my fond memories, I used to swim a lot.
00:30Me and my brother and play, but just swimming in this amazing pool that we had.
00:41It fills me with pride that I'm from the UAE and representing the UAE in the wellness industry.
00:47We're very empowered as women and men and Emirati citizens to open our own businesses.
00:56There is a lot of funds that support business owners, young business owners, like the Sheikh Mohammed Foundation and Khalifa Fund.
01:03And I think we're very lucky to also receive funding from the government.
01:08So I think it's the land of opportunity to be here and to open a business.
01:19My daily morning routine.
01:20So the first thing I wake up, when I wake up, I believe that you're in a theta state, where your brain is receptive to all positive affirmation like a sponge.
01:29So I put my affirmations that I, you know, if I want to change my subconscious mind with the new beliefs.
01:36And then I wake up, I obviously I pray, I read all my prayers and I have to drink Sencha green tea.
01:44It's a must for me.
01:45And then I would plan my day.
01:47I will identify my top priority project for that day.
01:51I will work smarter than harder.
01:54I try not to spread myself too thin.
01:57And I follow this 80-20 rule where I will focus on the 20% that will give me the 80% of the outcome from all my tasks.
02:07The 100 Wellness Center, it took years of planning.
02:11So I knew that I wanted to open my own business and I was in a self-discovery phase.
02:18So it took me like a year to know myself.
02:20I did personality tests and I identified three questions that they are staying with me till now.
02:27I get the foundation.
02:29Something that I want to open, something that I love.
02:33Something that's going to give back and make a difference in people's lives.
02:36I used to practice Pilates.
02:37So the 100 Wellness Center was the 100 Pilates studio and we opened in 2008.
02:42So during this year, you know, I was in this phase where I know I want to open my own business.
02:48And I was practicing Pilates.
02:50So the place I used to practice in closed down.
02:53So my brother told me, why don't you open a Pilates studio?
02:56I submitted my resignation.
02:58I went looking for a place.
03:00My gut feeling told me that this is it.
03:02But it was a year.
03:03A year where I was searching.
03:06I wanted to know who's Asma, what she's good at.
03:09And then when the idea came, when the idea presented itself, that was it.
03:13And the 100 Pilates studio was born and then it evolved into the 100 Wellness Center.
