00:00Now that POGOs are banned in the country, some senators are targeting the so-called Philippine Inland Gaming Operator or PIGO.

00:08They are more reliable because Filipinos are the main customers of online gambling.

00:13The Senate also criticized the slow-moving deportation of foreign POGO workers. Here is my report.

00:20Even if all POGOs are banned, there are still a lot of foreign POGO workers who are not yet deported to their countries.

00:31This is the result of the Senate's criticism of some senators.

00:35What we have released, Mr. Senator, is a total of 3,024.

00:43Those are those that are apprehended or arrested in various operations by BI and or PAOC.

00:50We have 27,000 foreign nationals who used to work for POGO and they don't know where they are.

01:03In a raid this January in Paranaque, only half of the 438 who were arrested were deported.

01:09Those who were arrested did not have a passport.

01:12So we have requested from the embassy for their travel documents.

01:16According to BI, more were deported last year.

01:20The PAGCOR also criticized the small and illegal POGO operations that are being conducted by some concerned citizens.

01:28Some of these have gone on guerrilla operations already.

01:31There are people who are already at home.

01:33We're finalizing these target packets. We will endorse it to PAOC.

01:38The travel agencies that issue fake documents to foreign nationals are also being targeted.

01:44We need to look at the angle that there is an inside job.

01:48It is possible that this is the reason why foreign nationals continue to enter the Philippines using fake documents.

01:55Like in the raid of Paokamakailan, where many government-issued IDs, birth certificates and marriage certificates were obtained

02:03originally from the Philippine Statistics Authority.

02:06But the people who wrote it were fake.

02:08They issued a Philippine passport to foreign nationals and then they changed their names.

02:13They still have contacts with government agencies.

02:17And that is what we requested from other agencies, especially those who issued government-issued IDs to conduct investigation on their own.

02:32Senators also criticized the weak regulation of PIGO or Philippine Inland Gaming Operator.

02:38They say we should be more alert here than in Pogo.

02:41The king of evil is this PIGO because the players are Filipinos.

02:46The time will come when the crime will increase because many Filipinos are addicted to PIGO, online gaming.

02:55It has to be regulated.

02:57With regard to the Responsible Gaming Program, which covers both our land base and online currently,
