00:00Well Mandy Moore's gripe with Amazon has actually set off an interesting discussion about
00:08Where Amazon should be delivering and not delivering because I don't think there's a debate on this
00:15I I didn't think there was either but I heard the conversation this morning in there
00:20They were they serious. I they can't be we had a argument in the newsroom about this in our morning meeting
00:26And it was it was ridiculous. It was ridiculous
00:29So the issue is about a very a very serious issue here in Los Angeles
00:35Where people are recovering obviously trying to recover from the devastating wildfires where they lost everything their homes are rubble and
00:43Some of those victims include Mandy Moore's in-laws. So this is the photo that Mandy post
00:49Look at that. There's an Amazon box. There is there
00:53There is nothing left of this house, right?
00:56How they even found how they found the address or step to leave that box
01:01which actually adds it's almost like a the fact that they did put it on it on a
01:06Doorstep is ridiculous. It's crazy. This is what Mandy said when she posted that photo do better Amazon
01:13Can we not have better discretion than to leave a package at a residence that no longer exists?
01:19This is my mother and father-in-law's home Jake in my head
01:24And that is it that was my reaction when I saw it because
01:28Crazy and a lot of people online are like, how could this happen?
01:33Obviously if you if you drive up as an Amazon driver and see a house
01:37Completely torched by the fires you would know to not leave the package there only because number one
01:44You're thinking they don't have access to that house. But number two, it's a bad look but look we did reach out to Amazon
01:50They gave us a statement basically saying that they have reached out to Mandy to try to get more information
01:55About where this was and they have been telling their drivers like look obviously be aware
02:02Because this is crazy Amazon says for weeks we've advised those who are delivering on our behalf in Southern, California
02:09To use discretion in areas that were impacted by wildfires that clearly didn't happen. What does
02:17Discretion mean right? It's like you say it's all this
02:21Burned to the ground and there may be the package don't leave the package. What discretion is there, right?
02:27This is that happen raising let us know and then we'll reach out to the people and say hey
02:31We noticed that your home was damaged destroyed in the fire. Where would you like us to leave?
02:36I mean, I get that like getting it there. I get the point
02:39I mean, maybe there's a house that you know is right and in people but nobody's in it back
02:44And nobody's in it because there's rubble all around and toxic chemicals or whatever else. So yeah, you use discretion there
02:51But my god, the house is burned down. Just don't leave it
02:55But to your point to say to the drug to the delivery people just use discretion. That doesn't seem direct enough, right?
03:01Like that's what I'm saying, too. Yeah, it's like don't leave packages where the house is burned down. How's that?
03:07I mean, it's pretty simple. It seems like it seems should be pretty simple
03:12Highly I'm from a tuxedo, Texas. I definitely think that Bandy more had the right to blast Amazon on Instagram
03:19They definitely dropped the ball
03:21Anyone who's been in the situation knows that you're not gonna think about your address on Amazon
03:26The delivery driver should have just never delivered the package and just said undelivered on their account
03:31Yeah, the argument just so you know the argument this morning on the other side was it was crazy
03:37They were saying that look the delivery people have an address and they're supposed to deliver to that address which is nuts, right?
03:45No, they're not. There's no house left, right? You know, oh my god. It's not a case of going through rain snow and sleep
03:53They know house get on it Bezos
