00:00Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is home to the fastest roller coaster in the world, and it is preparing
00:12to launch another record-breaking roller coaster.
00:15This last May at Arabian Travel Mart, we unveiled undoubtedly the single biggest ride launch
00:21of this year, which was the announcement of Flying Aces, our mega coaster, tallest looping
00:26coaster in the world, that we're quite proud to bring to Abu Dhabi, to the UAE.
00:31The lift will transport you to a height of 63 meters, and then you're dropping down directly,
00:38reaching a speed of 120 kilometers per hour, and you will be pushed into your seat, approximately
00:445G, and then you will entering the loop, it will be the tallest loop ever built on earth,
00:50with a height of 52 meters, and on top of the loop you will experience weightlessness.
00:57Building a roller coaster of this magnitude is challenging enough, but designing and building
01:01it in the heat of this region, and whilst the theme park is still fully operational,
01:05provides a new set of challenges.
01:07The soil here is very weak, the top 8 meters are very poor soil, in addition to that roller
01:12coasters have some very strict load requirements and very strict tolerances, which we need
01:16to follow.
01:17Unlike normal lift hills on a roller coaster, where you have plenty of single columns supporting
01:23the lift, here we're using only two big columns to support this 63 meter height lift.
01:30Another big challenge here for building a coaster in Abu Dhabi are the hot temperatures
01:36during the very long summer season.
01:39Our target date is New Year's 2016, but we're hoping for a pleasant surprise here or there,
01:44but right around those days.
01:46And we have heard exclusively that other exciting attractions will be unveiled next year.
