00:00After receiving a tip-off from the Lebanese Customs on February 5th, UAE authorities began
00:13an intricate surveillance operation on two metal tanks suspected of containing an illegal
00:18shipment of Captagon, an amphetamine-type drug.
00:23After arriving in Jebel Ali port, the two metal tanks were transported to multiple locations
00:28by the smugglers in an attempt to avoid detection.
00:31However, a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Interior, Dubai Police, Sharjah
00:36Police, Ras Al Khaimah Police and Fujairah Police led to the seizure of 4,895,000 pills
00:44of Captagon.
00:46When police task forces seized the tanks, they discovered multiple metal pipes that
00:50had been welded into the bodies of the tanks.
00:54When the pipes were removed and opened, they contained millions of Captagon pills wrapped
00:58in plastic bags.
01:00The police arrested four men involved in the trafficking operation.
01:04The suspects have been transferred to the public prosecution.
