देवकीनंदन ठाकुर महाराज का जन्म 12 सितंबर 1978 को उत्तरप्रदेश के मथुरा जिले के ओहवा गांव में हुआ था, इनका परिवार ब्राह्मण परिवार है तथा इनके माता-पिता कृष्ण भक्ति तथा लोक कथाओं का पाठ करते है. बचपन से ही घर में बहुत ज्यादा धार्मिक माहौल रहने के कारण उनकी रुचि धार्मिक पार्वती के कार्यों में ही जागृत हुई ।उपलब्ध जानकारी के अनुसार इन्होंने अपनी प्रारंभिक शिक्षा अपने गांव से ही पूरी की तथा कृष्ण कथाओं का प्रभाव बहुत ज्यादा होने के कारण इन्होंने 6 वर्ष की उम्र में अपना अच्छा घर छोड़कर वृंदावन में रहने पहुंच गए थे ।
