00:00The move to change its ethnic-based political narrative to a global-based struggle is difficult to achieve if it is still with the National Union, said a political analyst.
00:16Shahzad Shukri, from the Malaysian International Islamic University, said that the move now led by Dominic Lau will continue to be replaced by issues related to religion and ethnicity if it is still involved with the National Union, a coalition of four parties including BERSATU, PAS and MIPP.
00:35Yesterday, Lau said that the party no longer wants to focus on religious or ethnic issues, but rather wants to focus on issues related to the economy and cost of living, quality education for all, health, and the integrity of the government.
00:54Meanwhile, Lau Zewi, also from UIAM, said that the politics that want to be brought by the movement is not a new thing in the country's political arena, but is also being fought by other parties such as PKR, DAP and MUDA.
