00:00Granting land titles to deserving agriculture students may just be the incentive to help

00:05turn them into a career in farming.

00:08This pivot in the selection of agrarian reform beneficiaries is the incentivization that

00:14could well jumpstart a trend of Gen Z and millennials joining the farming bandwagon

00:20as our Kenneth Paciente reports the President's CLOA distribution in Palawan.

00:27For 27 years, Erlinda has been farming on land that she does not own.

00:31Although they earn from selling their crops, they still cannot shake off the worry that

00:35at any moment, they might lose their main source of livelihood.

00:49But Erlinda can now breathe a sigh of relief because today, she was one of the thousands

00:54of farmers in Palawan who received a land title, presented by President Ferdinand R.

00:58Marcos Jr. himself.

00:59According to the President, this is the government's recognition of the farmers who play a vital

01:04role in food security, but he emphasized this does not end with the distribution of titles.

01:12It also includes supporting them in improving their farmlands and raising the debts incurred

01:17as a result.

01:42Young graduates with degrees in agriculture also receive titles, which the President said

01:47is the government's way of encouraging them to use their knowledge to strengthen agriculture

01:51in the country.

02:16As such, the beneficiaries expressed immense gratitude.

02:36The chief executive also led a ceremonial turnover of farm-to-market roads programs

02:40with a total value of more than 44 million pesos.

02:43to improve connectivity in the area, as well as ensure faster delivery of farmers' agricultural

02:48products to the market to guarantee their incomes.
