00:00Yes, everyone loves to become a little bit taller, but I want to explain some important
00:07things that you need to understand about your body.
00:11These are our discs and our spine.
00:14This is where the nerves come out.
00:16Yes, this is our nervous system and it controls our organs and our tissues, but it controls
00:22our stability, our posture, how we sit up, how we bend.
00:27If you're spending lots of time on your smartphone like this, looking down, right away, look
00:33at my posture.
00:35It's lower, it's smaller, it's compressing downwards.
00:39How can we stand taller and stay healthier?
00:44That's what this video is about.
00:47Because we need to preserve these discs, because once these discs degenerate, they get shorter,
00:53they get smaller, they get more compressed.
00:55That means that these bones start to get closer to each other.
01:00We call it disc degeneration.
01:02Well, a third of our spine is made up of our discs, and if these discs are degenerating,
01:07now you may be 5'4", and you might have been 5'6 in the past, or maybe you are 5'10".
01:14You might have been 6 feet.
01:16But I'm going to show you a great technique in just a little bit that you can start doing
01:22at home in your bed that will make a tremendous difference.
01:25But I want you to realize how important water is, because we talk about hydration.
01:31The majority of our body is made up of water, 65% of it, and it affects the cells of our
01:35body, our brain, our heart, our blood.
01:38It helps filter out the toxins, helps our lymphatic system, helps our liver, helps our
01:43circulation.
01:44It can lower blood pressure, helps cleanse our system, helps our intestine, helps prevent
01:48constipation.
01:50It does so many amazing things, as well as those kidneys.
01:54But water is what's needed inside of these discs.
01:58Now, these discs are where the bones are sitting on, but imagine, what about the discs in our
02:03knees or in our hips?
02:06If these joints become closer to each other,
