00:00Right here in my hand are two green tea bags, but I want to explain to you what these tea bags can not only do for the health and wealth of our bodies, our organs, our tissues, but the bags on our eyes, those dark bags, those puffy eyes, there's nothing better than green tea.
00:24Green tea is an antioxidant powerhouse. It's filled with antioxidants that prevent oxidative stress caused by free radicals. Green tea will definitely boost metabolism when it comes to weight loss. It will support your heart health by lowering the bad cholesterol as well as promoting healthy blood vessel function and helping regulate blood pressure. Green tea enhances your brain function.
00:47It does contain caffeine, which improves focus, alertness, and cognitive performance, but it also contains an amino acid called L-theanine, which promotes relaxation and has been found to work synergistically with caffeine to prevent those jitters or crashes. Green tea will boost your immune system. The polyphenols in green tea has antimicrobial properties that help fight off bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens.
01:12And it will also help promote digestive health by reducing inflammation in the gut and alleviating digestive issues such as bloating and constipation. And under our eyes, the skin is much thinner, much more delicate. You need to be real careful when it comes to washing or rubbing your skin, particularly under the eye area, and waking up with those bags is not a pleasant thing.
01:34But it's those rich catechins like epigallocatechin gallic that has those powerful anti-inflammatory properties. And these antioxidants protect the skin from damage caused by those free radicals, reducing the signs of aging such as wrinkles and fine lines. And the caffeine in that green tea will vasoconstrict the arteries, the vessels that are going to underneath the eye, causing that swelling and puffiness to disappear.
02:01And those dark circles are often caused by those dilated blood vessels or poor blood circulation under the eyes. But the tannins present in green tea have astringent properties that help shrink those blood vessels and reduce the appearance of those dark circles.
02:17So what I recommend to do is take two tea bags, good quality green tea, and put it in some hot water. Let it steep about five minutes or so. You'll take the tea bags out. You'll let it get all the water out of there. You can put them in the refrigerator and use it cool on your eyes, or you can just put it on underneath your eyes when it cools down.
02:40And once you put these tea bags underneath your eyes, it goes to work. The tannins start reducing the inflammation as well as the epigallocatechin gallic, those catechins and the caffeine. Those powerful catechins in green tea, much more than we could imagine, does amazing things for the skin when it comes to repair and healing.
03:00But I would also recommend that you put a tea bag in there, however you decide to do it, and start drinking it as well, because there's nothing like green tea when it comes to the health and wealth of our body, our arteries, reducing inflammation, our blood pressure, lowering cholesterol, helping our digestion, building our immune system. You don't want to neglect green tea.
03:24And many of you may be thinking about the caffeine, but it has the L-theanine in there. It helps counterbalance that caffeine. It's proven that many of you who drink green tea even before bed sleep like a baby. But if you're sensitive to caffeine, you can get decaf and drink it.
03:40But when it comes to your eyes, I prefer you use regular green tea because you want that caffeine to go to work, to reduce that puffiness, that swelling, that darkness, so you can look handsome or beautiful once again. And you're going to want to do this several times a week. Again, it's really simple, and the results are extremely effective.
04:01I hope you found this video helpful. Get to work. I challenge you. You'll be amazed what green tea can do underneath your eyes better than any tea. The results are fascinating. Please share it with your friends and family. Leave your comments below. And most important, make it a great day. I'm Dr. Alan Mandel.
