00:02 This is the entrance, in and out.
00:03 - Yes, it is.
00:04 - Let's check out the deck.
00:05 - Okay. - Come on.
00:06 Joe's deck is his personal oasis.
00:10 Here, he enjoys gardening and loves to challenge his guests
00:13 to a friendly game of chess.
00:15 So you got your plane that you're living in.
00:18 We got another one over here.
00:19 Why the two planes?
00:20 - And so what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna make spirit.
00:23 It's gonna take a little flight.
00:24 It's gonna be moved, so they'll be almost parallel.
00:27 And then we'll put a control tower between
00:30 the two airplanes.
00:31 So you can walk from that airplane to the control tower
00:34 and from the control tower to the other airplane.
00:36 - You're gonna have a walkway to both planes.
00:38 - Oh, that's cool.
00:39 - Joe's currently working on the Spirit DC-9
00:42 with plans to add luxury features like a theater,
00:44 an arts and crafts room, and a music room.
00:47 - Everything's a work in progress because it is a journey.
00:51 This airplane, if it wasn't turned into a house,
00:55 it would have been crushed.
00:56 And who knows where it would end up?
00:59 Probably in a landfill.
01:00 So recycling was awesome.
01:03 With an airplane home, I have lots of visitors.
01:07 And they drive by and they take pictures
01:09 and I wave them to come on over.
01:10 And sometimes they come over and they're like,
01:12 "You're crazy."
01:12 It's like, "Yes, I am."
01:14 That's part of life.
01:16 It is having fun.
01:17 And I've shown a lot of people,
01:19 given lots of tours through here.
01:21 Because people need to understand
01:24 that if they turn their dreams into reality,
01:26 they'll enjoy life a whole lot more.
01:28 Enjoy your flight.
01:30 And the peanuts are on us.
