Govt: Pensioners ‘better off’ with 8.5% rise in pensions

Work and Pensions Secretary Mel Stride hails a 8.5% hike in State Pensions saying “pensioners are a thousand pound better off since 2010” as a result of the government commitment to supporting pensioners during retirement.
