00:00 Greater Manchester is known for its huge variety of food and drink spots.
00:06 From delicious sourdough pizzas at Manchester-founded Rudie's,
00:10 to bougie brunch spots in the Northern Quarter, or a venue along the famous Curry Mile,
00:15 the city region has plenty to offer for every taste.
00:19 The area is also home to a number of food halls, such as Mackie Mayor,
00:23 Altrincham Market House and Central Bay,
00:26 allowing customers to select from different establishments that suit everyone's cravings.
00:31 We spoke to people in Manchester to find out their favourite places to eat in the city region.
00:37 So basically my favourite place is Rhode Island in Altrincham,
00:41 so I'm often there, and also Gales time to time, but quite expensive sometimes,
00:46 so yeah, not often.
00:48 Granny's Tea in Altrincham is an amazing place to go as well.
00:51 There isn't one best place to eat.
00:54 Depends what sort of thing you want to eat.
00:57 I think, I'm trying to think of them, I like the Mackie Mayor,
01:02 which has some nice places and you can choose whichever kind of food you like.
01:07 My favourite place is in Curry Miles, in Rushome,
01:12 as for most of the students at the University of Manchester,
01:15 so I go there to have the variety of Asian foods, so that's my favourite place.
01:20 Any particular ones on the Curry Mile?
01:22 Not any particular one, but there are lots, lots of choices you have there.
01:28 Well my son always takes me to the Northern Quarter, so we eat round there, you know.
01:35 And I like places like Wagamama, and I've been to Annie's, I liked eating there, so.
01:42 Lots of places in Manchester.
01:44 Well there is, there's too many to name really.
01:47 And there's quite a few good coffee shops around.
01:52 I can't quite remember the name of it, but there's one just off Albert Square,
01:55 in between Albert Square and St Peter's Square.
01:58 And Pot Kettle Black, which is just in the arcade at the back.
02:01 That's a nice place to eat and to have a coffee as well.
02:05 But if you're thinking about like a lunch, proper lunch, not a coffee or something,
02:10 there's a new place opened in Sale.
02:14 I think it's not really new, but it's called Osechi, if I'm right.
02:20 I mean, I'm a big fan of Asian food, so yeah, I think this one was amazing.
02:23 And in Old Trincom, I think it's Asuki, A-S-U-K-I.
02:30 I think this is right, this is an amazing one.
02:32 Very, very small, cute, and for family it's just amazing.
