Global shipping industry to commit to net zero by 2050

The global shipping industry accounts for 3 per cent of worldwide emissions and 80 per cent of the world's traded goods are move by sea. This weekend, at a UN summit in London, a non-binding agreement was reached to slash emissions to net zero by 2050.
