00:00Clutch Cargo and his pals, Spinner and Paddlefoot, in another exciting adventure, Space Stations.
00:13Clutch! Clutch! He won! That's great. I knew he would. Paddlefoot beat all the other dogs.
00:21It says that Paddlefoot has an IQ of K-9, one point higher than the next closest dog.
00:27So he's been selected to make a trip into space and return.
00:31Golly, Paddlefoot, are we proud of you.
00:34Paddlefoot passed the difficult test with flying colors.
00:37For instance, even in the correct button pushing test, his score was 100%.
00:43And in the final test, set in the maze, where he had to figure out which door led to the reward,
00:48Paddlefoot went straight to the objective, demonstrating amazing dog sense.
00:53The space flight is scheduled for dawn tomorrow.
00:56Now we'll be there, eh, Paddlefoot?
00:58Ruff! Ruff!
01:00With a few last minute adjustments, Paddlefoot is placed in the nose cone of a huge rocket.
01:06All the instruments are in working order. I don't see how we can fail.
01:11Besides, with the recordings of your voice giving Paddlefoot instructions, Spinner, he can't miss.
01:17That was a smart idea, Professor. Paddlefoot will do whatever his master commands.
01:22My assistant, Dr. Hugenweiler, will be in charge of playing the records by remote control.
01:28All preliminary tests are complete. Operation R-FARP is about to begin.
01:33Golly, it won't be long now.
01:35Take this microphone, Spinner, and say so long to Paddlefoot.
01:39We're sure proud of you, Paddlefoot, and be sure to mind the instructions.
01:43We'll be right here waiting when you get back. So long!
01:48Whoa!
01:54Whoa!
01:58Perfect takeoff. Now we go into my rocket tracking laboratory.
02:04The rocket is now 300 miles above Earth. It will be outside the Earth's atmosphere in seven minutes.
02:10Now, Paddlefoot, be calm. The first stage is about to drop off.
02:15When I say go, push the red button at the right.
02:19Get ready. Go!
02:29Everything is going according to plan.
02:32Paddlefoot will be in orbit any minute now, circling the Earth at 18,000 miles an hour.
02:39Here is an important announcement.
02:42The nose cone carrying the intrepid space dog, Paddlefoot, is now in orbit.
02:47He will circle the Earth once every hour.
02:50And here is the last picture taken of this heroic dog before he boarded his spaceship.
02:54Golly, isn't he brave, Clutch?
03:00There he goes. A thousand miles overhead.
03:04We will receive reports from other tracking stations as he makes the orbit.
03:13Hello? Who? Tracking station Y? Yes.
03:18What is that? You don't? Oh, my!
03:23What is it, Professor? Something wrong? Is Paddlefoot...
03:27The signal was loud and clear. Then suddenly the signal stopped.
03:32Then that means Paddlefoot's... I am afraid so. Paddlefoot is lost.
03:38Is Paddlefoot really lost? Will they find him?
03:42Be sure to tune in for the next exciting episode with Clutch Cargo.
03:47Clutch Cargo and his pals Spinner and Paddlefoot in another exciting adventure, Space Station.
03:53You remember last time Paddlefoot had won the space tests for dogs.
03:58He had started a trip into space in return after orbiting only once.
04:02The signal was loud and clear. Then suddenly the signal stopped.
04:08Then that means Paddlefoot's... I am afraid so. Paddlefoot is lost.
04:14The signal was loud and clear. Then suddenly the signal stopped.
04:19Then that means Paddlefoot's... I am afraid so. Paddlefoot is lost.
04:25But, Clutch, we gotta find him. Poor Paddlefoot, way out there in outer space all alone.
04:31We'll find him, Spinner. Professor Knockwurst, do you have any more rockets available?
04:36Many of them, Clutch. We always have a few spares ready to go.
04:40Good. Spinner and I are ready to blast off immediately.
04:43Spinner and you? What about me and my assistant?
04:47You mean you want to go too?
04:49You bet. But first we have to build a space station so we can have a place to refuel our rocket for searching.
04:57But, Professor, that will take months to build.
05:01Nonsense. I have invented a rocket that can be torn down then put together again to make a complete space station.
05:08Come over to the window. I will show you my invention.
05:12The middle rocket is for passengers. The other two carry fuel and equipment.
05:17Incredible, Professor. Why didn't someone think of that before?
05:21Well, who knows?
05:22Can we start now?
05:24All we must do is blow up the giant balloon that raises the rockets to their starting point and then off we go.
05:32The giant balloon is inflated, the rockets attached, and the rescue party is aboard and ready.
05:38Get set. Steady now. Cut ropes.
05:45We're off. Now we can only find Paddlefoot.
05:49Here is the news flash. Clutch Cargo and Spinner with Professor Knockwurst and Dr. Hogan-Weiler
05:54have just taken off on their search for the intrepid space dog Paddlefoot.
05:58We are picking up speed. Soon we will blast off.
06:01All three rockets are controlled by the buttons and dials in this rocket.
06:06Professor, you have a marvelous brain.
06:10I know it. Now we are ready to blast off.
06:13But Professor, that balloon is right in front of us. How?
06:17You watch, Spinner. Now I will fire up the rockets.
06:28Wowee! Right through the balloon.
06:32According to my calculations, we're just about ready to stop.
06:35You are right, Clutch. We have arrived.
06:38Hey, there's nothing here but space. How are you going to build a station way up here?
06:43Simple, Spinner. Don't you remember? Out here in space, nothing weighs anything.
06:49There's no gravity pull, so we float the space station.
06:53Okay, Professor. I've cut the rocket motors.
06:56Good. Now our speed is gone, we stop.
06:59We are now floating free.
07:01Now I push a button and the two outside rockets open up and form a space station.
07:07Now look out the window and you will see our space platform.
07:11Golly, and we can land our rocket right on it for fuel.
07:15Next, we set our rocket down and so to work.
07:19There are a few bolts to tighten.
07:22Okay, if I get out, Clutch?
07:25Okay, Spinner. As soon as I've checked your space helmet.
07:28Wee! Clutch, look! I'm floating like a bubble!
07:33Clutch and Professor Knotwurst work steadily, tightening bolts.
07:38There. That's the last one.
07:41Clutch! Help! Help! I'm drifting away!
07:45Help, Clutch! Save me!
07:48Can Clutch save Spinner as he drifts from the space station?
07:52Be sure to tune in for the next exciting episode with Clutch Cargo.
08:09Clutch Cargo and his pals Spinner and Paddlefoot in another exciting adventure, Space Station.
08:16Last time, Clutch and company with Professor Knotwurst and Dr. Hogenweiler
08:21set out in space with a new type of rocket to set up a space station and search for Paddlefoot.
08:26They had arrived when...
08:28Clutch! Help! Help! I'm floating away!
08:32Help, Clutch! Save me!
08:35Help, Clutch! I'm floating away!
08:39Steady, Spinner. I'll get you.
08:41Great, Clutch! You can never get him without this portable space propellant.
08:46Just push the little hand button and compressed air pushes you along.
08:51It recharges itself.
08:53That's great. I'll try it. Here goes.
08:55Good luck, Clutch.
08:57Hurry, Clutch!
08:58I'm coming!
09:06Got you, boy.
09:07Oh, thank goodness. How is this here?
09:13Ah, Spinner. Glad you are back.
09:16Now that we've got the space station up, let's start our search for Paddlefoot.
09:21You and Spinner take the rocket ship and look around.
09:24The planet Mars is not very far. That's it right over there.
09:29Golly, let's get started, Clutch.
09:31If anyone can find Paddlefoot, you can.
09:35After a short briefing, Clutch and Spinner head for Mars.
09:39Professor Knockworth says we must pass through a very dense asteroid belt on our way to Mars.
09:44What is an asteroid belt?
09:46Floating rocks. Some very big, some small.
09:50There were once a planet that exploded.
09:52Now they float in space in a ring or belt around the planet Mars.
09:56The professor has invented a safety device for flying through the asteroids.
10:00You better get ready to use it, Clutch. Look!
10:05The professor's device works. Here goes.
10:09Look, Clutch. Listen to him hit.
10:12That's quite an asteroid shower.
10:15Yeah. I think we're out of it now.
10:18Listen. No more rocks.
10:23It won't be long now, Spinner. We're almost there.
10:26Golly, I hope we find Paddlefoot.
10:29We've arrived, Spinner.
10:31I think we'll make a few passes to see if anyone lives on Mars.
10:48Clutch, I saw something shining just as we passed over.
10:52Maybe it's Paddlefoot's nose cone.
10:55Could be, Spinner. We'll turn around and land.
10:58Here goes.
11:02Space helmet okay?
11:04Sure thing, Clutch.
11:10That's what I saw shining.
11:12It's a rocket nose cone, all right.
11:14If Paddlefoot's there, I hope he's all right.
11:17Sorry, Spinner. That's not Paddlefoot's nose cone.
11:20But a good thing, too. Look how it smashed.
11:23Golly, I'll say.
11:25Well, I'm kind of glad Paddlefoot isn't here.
11:28Well, I'm kind of glad Paddlefoot isn't here.
11:31This planet Mars is deserted, all right.
11:34Not a single living thing in sight.
11:37Uh-oh. Maybe not.
11:39But what's that rising out of the ground?
11:42What nature of person lives on Mars?
11:45Are Clutch and Spinner in danger?
11:47Be sure to tune in for the next exciting episode with Clutch Cargo.
11:59Clutch Cargo and his pals Spinner and Paddlefoot in another exciting adventure, Space Station.
12:11Last time, Clutch and Spinner left the space station to search for Paddlefoot.
12:15On Mars, they found a nose cone from a crashed rocket, but no Paddlefoot, as they started to leave.
12:23Strange. I feel as though something is watching me.
12:28Yeah, I feel it, too.
12:31That's silly. There's no living thing here.
12:35We're the first humans to find this out.
12:38I'm afraid we've had no luck in finding Paddlefoot.
12:41I think we'd better get back to see how Professor Knogwurst is making out at the space station.
12:45Golly, Clutch, this doesn't mean we're giving up the search, does it?
12:49No, but there's only one more planet that's close enough to reach from the space station, and that's Venus.
12:55Venus? Golly, you mean maybe we can go there, too?
12:59As long as we're this close to it, and if the professor advises it, we'll go.
13:04Gee, thanks. We just gotta find Paddlefoot.
13:08Now to get the rocket started. You ready?
13:11Ready, Clutch.
13:13The starter's dead.
13:15Huh?
13:16I'm sure the atomic battery's all right, but there's no reaction.
13:20Well, what about the wires?
13:22I'm going to check them now.
13:26Don't see anything wrong with these wires.
13:29I'll check the other side. Maybe it's over there.
13:34Believe it or not, Spinner, it was a wire.
13:39Believe it or not, Spinner, it was a wire.
13:43It came loose probably when we came through that asteroid shower.
13:46Anyway, it's fixed.
13:48Hurry, Clutch. It's too scary here.
13:51We'll try again.
13:54Clutch and Spinner arrive at the space station without mishap.
13:58Ah, welcome back, my friends. Did you have a nice trip?
14:02And did you find Paddlefoot?
14:04It was quite a trip, but we didn't find Paddlefoot.
14:08We came back to refuel.
14:10Ah, yes, at the base.
14:12Yes, we did.
14:14And we found Paddlefoot.
14:16Yes, we did.
14:18And we found Paddlefoot.
14:20We came back to refuel.
14:22Ah, yes, at the base.
14:24Fill her up with the best you've got, Professor.
14:27We'd like to fly to Venus and look for Paddlefoot there.
14:30Your tank is filled. Oil check and windshield cleaned.
14:34I hope you find Paddlefoot this time.
14:36Thanks, folks.
14:38Spinner's already in the rocket.
14:40Poor kid. Sure hope we find his dog.
14:43Good luck.
14:45We going now, Clutch?
14:47You bet, Spinner.
14:51Clutch!
14:58Clutch pushes the rocket throttle full on as they head for Venus.
15:02There she is, Spinner.
15:04Venus. We're coming in.
15:07What's all that green stuff?
15:09Some kind of mist.
15:11And it's getting thicker the closer we get in.
15:14I'll say it is. It really looks like green pea soup.
15:18We'll have to go on special solar radar or we might crash into the planet.
15:23By golly, we're heading in on something that's made of metal.
15:26Hear that beep?
15:28Yeah, Clutch, but I still can't see anything.
15:31I hate to say this, Spinner, but I think we'd better turn back.
15:35It's just getting too bad.
15:37But Clutch!
15:39I know how you feel, Spinner, but...
15:41Hey, Clutch, listen!
15:43Hear that? It's Paddlefoot!
15:46Paddlefoot, he's alive!
15:48It's the signal from his nose cone!
15:51He's out there somewhere!
15:53Is it possible that they've found Paddlefoot?
15:56Be sure to tune in for the next exciting episode with Clutch Cargo.
16:01Clutch Cargo
16:13Clutch Cargo and his pals Spinner and Paddlefoot in another exciting adventure, Space Station.
16:20You remember last time Clutch and Spinner returned from Mars,
16:24then started immediately for Venus, still in search of Paddlefoot.
16:28Once green mist surrounded Venus, and as they were about to turn back...
16:32Hear that? It's Paddlefoot!
16:35Paddlefoot, he's alive!
16:37It's the signal from his nose cone!
16:40Clutch, these dog barks are getting louder!
16:44And look, something's shining over there!
16:46It looks like a...
16:48Do you suppose...
16:49A nose cone?
16:52Space Station
16:56See anything?
16:58No, Clutch. Only another window beside our window.
17:01It surely doesn't look like a window, but...
17:03Look! Somebody's pulling down the shade!
17:06That's no shade, Spinner.
17:08That's an eyelid.
17:10Something huge is looking at us with that monstrous eye!
17:13What do you think it is?
17:15I don't know.
17:17But I'm going to find out.
17:20Well, if I hadn't seen it, I wouldn't believe it.
17:23Look!
17:24A big green frog!
17:29Oh, look out!
17:30Don't act scared.
17:32He's going away.
17:35Hurry, Clutch, before he comes back.
17:37Let's find Paddlefoot.
17:41We've got to get the door open.
17:44It's Paddlefoot, all right.
17:46What's happened to him?
17:50He's a little teeny puppy again.
17:52That's because he got lost in space time.
17:55And got younger and younger.
18:00Well, I don't care just as long as it's Paddlefoot.
18:04Look!
18:05That giant frog again.
18:07He's cut us off from the rocket.
18:09I know, Spinner.
18:11You're folding model airplane.
18:13Here it is, Clutch.
18:14Wind it up and let it go.
18:16You may think it's a giant fly and go after it.
18:19Here goes.
18:27He's working.
18:28Look, there he goes.
18:35Come on, Spinner.
18:36In the rocket.
18:45So you're back.
18:46And look how little Paddlefoot is.
18:49Yes.
18:50He got caught in space time, Professor.
18:52Ah, yes.
18:53For that I have the answer.
18:55My special space time machine which I myself invented.
18:59For little dogs who get too young while flying in outer space.
19:04Now, I just set the timer at normal sized dog, then...
19:09Go ahead, Paddlefoot, go ahead.
19:15Presto!
19:22Paddlefoot!
19:23Paddlefoot, you're the same old Paddlefoot again.
19:26Professor, Clutch.
19:28Here comes the rocket from Earth.
19:30Ah, yes.
19:31It has more materials for a second space station.
19:34Number two.
19:35Come on, Spinner.
19:36Roll up your sleeves.
19:38We've got work to do.
19:40We're with you, Clutch.
19:42And so ends the story of Clutch Cargo and his pals Spinner and Paddlefoot and Space Station.
19:49Be sure to tune in for the next exciting adventure with Clutch Cargo.
