Against the backdrop of the race for mayor of Las Vegas, a mad bomber is on the loose and his target is Pacific Cargo Shipping. The company hires expert and world-renowned P.I., Bud Chelzer, to investigate the latest bombing in Las Vegas, NV. At the same time, Brad Morrison, a recently fired singer/comedian, has just been approached by a sexy and mysterious woman who promises big bucks if he joins her and her group but she is sketchy on the details. He needs the money and accepts. With Bud Chelzer helping him out in a pinch, the two get caught up in a behind-the-scenes caper that, if the lid blows, could expose the biggest scandal in Las Vegas history.

00:00:54Okay, yeah guys we've got five minutes to get in and get out
00:00:57This election is not one for the record books
00:01:01This election is one for the history books, and I want you to know
00:01:18There'd be no misunderstanding we're going to begin
00:01:27I
00:01:37Have never obstructed justice I
00:01:40Never took a penny. It didn't belong to me
00:01:44therefore I
00:01:45Shall resign the presidency effective at noon tomorrow
00:01:49Well, I'm not a crook
00:01:57You
00:02:06There were other things to be done besides shredding documents when I left and I take the responsibility for any mistake
00:02:26You
00:02:38The hell's going on here get away from my house
00:02:53That's the only thing we have to fear
00:02:57Oh
00:03:04This is ridiculous, we need to get another person
00:03:11It's Jeff Katz on the talk station am 840 kxnt Las Vegas City elections making news
00:03:17Of course, I am sitting here with the mayor the Honorable Margaret de Feliz and councilman Gus Smith, of course
00:03:23They'll be contesting this election. We've got lots of stuff to talk about this morning all sorts of issues affecting our city
00:03:28Where do you hear about it? You hear about it on the Jeff Katz show on the talk station am 840 kxnt
00:03:34Jeff not to change the subject but there is something that we've ignored on the previous three debates on your station and that is
00:03:39Government corruption. Well, I can't say you understand we can't talk about anything. That's actually currently in litigation
00:03:44Okay, well, that's just it
00:03:45Do the people of Las Vegas even realize that there is litigation and a ton of it surrounding the mayor and her dealings with unscrupulous
00:03:50Guys I thought we agreed to keep this debate to the issues concerning the people of Las Vegas and not to dig up dirt on
00:03:57One another I'll take that to mean that you know, we should comment on these charges now now mayor corruption
00:04:01You you you will agree simply can't be ignored if it really does exist
00:04:05It does not exist and never has existed in my administration
00:04:09The Harris Commission investigated my suspected mob ties and found them to be false. Not only false, but preposterous
00:04:16Margaret you act as if the Commission is finished. I mean, they're still looking into these allegations
00:04:20And what have they found at this point?
00:04:22Nothing, and that's because no corruption exists. Are you saying there's absolutely no truth to these allegations for the record?
00:04:30I have never had anything to do with any mob mafia or any organized crime of any type
00:04:38No, what about Nicki Marcello? Yes, Margaret. What about Marcello?
00:04:41I'll tell you what I told the Commission. I have never met. Mr. Marcello
00:04:47Although I understand he supports my party and its objectives
00:04:51These out of the country last I heard and trying to get away from the Harris Commission to my dad
00:04:56No, that's funny. I actually heard he was back in town. Yeah, Margaret. What about the kickbacks?
00:05:00I refuse to continue to allow this harassment to go on either we move on to another subject or I'm going to leave
00:05:06All right, I guess we can move on we will talk about flood control
00:05:16You
00:05:25Morning Las Vegas, it's 6 a.m. In the Vegas Valley. I just shot the rooster currently 61 degrees
00:05:35Jeff not to change the subject, but there is something that we've ignored in the previous three debates on your station
00:05:40And that is government corruption. Well, I got something you understand. We can't talk about anything. That's actually currently in litigation
00:05:46Las Vegas even realize that there is litigation and a ton of it surrounding the mayor and her dealings with unscrupulous
00:05:54Issues concerning the people of Las Vegas and not to dig up dirt on one another
00:06:16Hey, what's up rich long day? Ah, not too bad. Got a light load today big truck down

00:06:52Yeah, right
00:07:05All right
00:07:07So what are we gonna do about this? Huh?
00:07:10Cuz let me tell you something I have a hundred union officials out there wanting to know why my packages are killing their drivers
00:07:18Mr. Jordan, we're doing our best to get to the bottom of this
00:07:21No, this is the fifth bomb that's went off in the last year. This is killing my business
00:07:26I'm telling you I'm in a photo developing lab. Sir. Have you strengthened your security measures?
00:07:32Security. Oh
00:07:33Don't you hit me with that? You know, this is the largest shipping company in the world
00:07:37I've spent over 50 million dollars on security measures, which are now in place
00:07:42We're doing our best to find the perpetrator. We're looking at criminal individuals as well as old employees
00:07:49Mr. Jordan, we're starting to believe this could be an old pissed-off employee prior to the Las Vegas incident
00:07:55We thought this person was targeting only drivers now. It seems it's anything in anybody. I
00:08:01Don't know. I don't know
00:08:04But I can tell you this this happens again Pacific Cargo might as well shut down
00:08:10We'll be in touch
00:08:13If you can have your human resource as fast as a list of terminated employees

00:11:19You know what? You've always been narrow-minded
00:11:22Ever since I've known you you're always narrow-minded. That's what I don't get about you. Why can't it be normal stand-up?
00:11:28Impersonations anything but this lame singing because that's not my act. I'm a singing slash comedian

00:12:49Suppose you're gonna tell me you loved it
00:12:52Actually, I was going to say that it sucked. It's not that funny. It's kind of cheesy cheesy
00:13:01So, why did you sit through the entire thing ah
00:13:04Observant, are we?
00:13:07Well considering you were the only woman who wasn't missing any teeth. Yeah

00:13:16Too bad you're out of work. Oh, come on lady. Don't tell me you're gonna sleep with me and offer me a job
00:13:23Well, I'm not going to sleep with you, but I am going to offer you a job a job, huh?
00:13:30Well, it depends on what it is. I
00:13:32Need something that's adventure to my life. Oh, so you want adventure?

00:13:42Leave the sombrero at home

00:13:56Political operations consultant. Yeah, right
00:14:05Damn Scotty
00:14:08Don't be sneaking up on me like that. You're gonna give me a heart attack
00:14:10Hey cool, I saw you in the bay, but you're gonna take the job, right? Talk about eavesdropping
00:14:16God, I got that alien implant. Well, that's right. I forgot about that Scott
00:14:23So, uh, you're gonna take the job right I don't know yet damn I just met her two seconds ago
00:14:28Well, if you need a reference, uh, I'm your friend
00:14:31Thanks, Scotty. I don't know what to do anymore. I mean bull just fired. How am I supposed to save money for LA now?
00:14:38Hey $2,000 can go a long way
00:14:41Yeah, but it depends on what it is. Yeah, I mean for all I know it could be drug dealing or worse
00:14:47one of those pyramid things
00:14:50Cool thirsty, huh? Can I buy you a drink?
00:15:01Thanks cool, you know, I wasn't so poor
00:15:04Buy you one of those hustles right underneath the Hollywood sign
00:15:07Nice guy, you know go give me that drink. All right. Thanks cool. Hey if I'm not here when you get back drink it yourself
00:15:13All right
00:15:15Scott
00:15:19Mr. Jordan supposedly this guy is one of the country's top contract investigators
00:15:23He's worked with the CIA and the FBI the Secret Service just about every agency that has anything to do with domestic terrorism
00:15:29He was referred to us by the State Department
00:15:32the State Department
00:15:35We afford this game
00:15:37Well, that's just it. He's asking for 1 million a million dollars. I guess that's less than what I lose in a day with this strike
00:15:46We did go out
00:15:48No, she said it wasn't big enough
00:15:51She said it was too small. It wouldn't even get her wet. Oh
00:15:59I'm sorry. I'm putting in a pool. How you doing? What Chelsea?
00:16:04Hi Jordan, how are you? Mr. Jordan? This is Jacob Turner. I believe you two spoke. Absolutely. Nice to meet you, sir. Pleasure
00:16:14Mr. Chelser as you probably know the drivers for Pacific Cargo are on strike again
00:16:20And I cannot get the unions to table up until we put a clamp down on these bombing issues
00:16:24This has been like five incidences, right?
00:16:27Boy, I'm sure glad I used FedEx
00:16:34Job
00:16:36Yes, you're correct five bombs
00:16:38Although this time the bomb didn't kill the driver. It actually made its way into the building
00:16:42Look, I'm a little behind in my current events
00:16:45Why'd you bring me up to speed and let me know what the FBI has told you so that's just if the FBI doesn't tell us
00:16:50anything
00:16:52Do you
00:16:53Know if the packages were at least open. No, none of the packages were open
00:16:57They've either blown up while in sorting or on route to their destinations. I don't get it guys
00:17:02Why does someone do this to your company? It's got to be someone you fired. Well
00:17:07See about two years ago Pacific Cargo didn't renegotiate contracts with the union
00:17:12They went on strike and we started employing non-union drivers, right? Yes, and then it wasn't till last November
00:17:18We went back to the tables. We started talking
00:17:21Since then we had to lay off over 2,000 non-union drivers
00:17:25Why why why because the unions made us look at my heart of the new union contract was that we had to go
00:17:32100% union this was difficult considering we had to employ all those non-union drivers during the strike
00:17:39You laid off over 2,000 people right before the holidays. Yes
00:17:43Yes, that was unfortunate, but we had to do it. Now. That's just business
00:17:48This all the information yeah, yes
00:17:53So Las Vegas was the most recent incident yes, but as you can see there was very little investigation done at the scene
00:18:00So chills right? I believe the FBI is doing anything or making any progress in solving these cases
00:18:08How do you know that?
00:18:10I
00:18:12Don't believe the FBI is doing anything or making any progress in solving these cases. I believe
00:18:19Everything they can you're just not giving them enough time
00:18:22This is a terrorism case. It's like trying to find a needle in a haystack
00:18:26Business to run here fine my fees a million dollars
00:18:32Guys, come on. Look, this is a terrorism case. You want me to solve it? It's a million dollars. Take it or leave it
00:18:40One million is fine. Thank you
00:18:44Now I'm gonna tell you how I work. I work private
00:18:47That means I don't want you guys on my back looking over my shoulder trying to decide if what I'm doing meets with your approval
00:18:52So I work private and it also means non-public got it. Okay. Well
00:18:57So tell us what you just do what you need to do to solve this
00:19:00Well, you don't seem to be allowing the FBI to do what they need to do. Well, I decided the FBI it wasn't doing
00:19:05I am going to need your list of contacts of all the people you do business with and I need travel expenses
00:19:13I'm going to go to Las Vegas. Wait a second. Why Las Vegas? You've got Detroit that was hit first or Chicago or Pittsburgh or Miami?
00:19:20Because Las Vegas is the most recent incident and this is where the evidence is. What about the FBI? You'll be interfering. They're still investigating there
00:19:27Let me handle the FBI
00:19:31God I hope you are as good as you are cocky
00:19:35Wish I was as cocky as I was
00:20:05I
00:20:11Wish you would stop calling my office. Did you get the file? Yes
00:20:18Thank you the bomb wasn't on a timing device it was a remote I
00:20:25Can see that
00:20:35Whoever did this was nearby. They couldn't been more than a block away. Hey, can you make sure this doesn't get back to me?
00:20:41I don't want to lose my job
00:20:43Caroline you're a heck of an FBI agent and you're a great niece. Thanks
00:20:50Hey, could you stop calling my office? Hey answer your cell phone
00:21:05Hey, hey, what the hell do you think you're doing? This is my stuff
00:21:16Who the hell do you think you are this is my stuff as a matter of fact, this is my apartment
00:21:22Not anymore Morrison. You're out of here. Well, you can't do this. This is illegal. I could sue you
00:21:28You can't afford an attorney. You can't even afford your rent. You know, you have to notify somebody before you go into victim
00:21:34You can't just toss people's crap. Look, I would really like to let you live here free for the rest of your life
00:21:39I just can't afford that
00:21:42I've got bills to pay. I told you I was gonna pay you next Friday. I'm only a week late
00:21:47Always a week late Morrison. That's because I just lost my job. Come on. I got no place to go
00:21:54That's my problem. You know, I should call the cops right now
00:21:57Okay, do what you got to do, but I tell you what you better get that shit out of here by morning
00:22:01I'd hate to see you lose that too. Now get the hell out of my apartment
00:22:31You
00:23:01You
00:23:32Hi, can I help you? Oh, hi
00:23:35Denise, my name is Bud Schelzer. I'm a special investigator with Pacific Cargo
00:23:40Investigating the bombing last week couldn't help but notice your surveillance
00:23:43So if you're looking for the tapes with the bombing stuff on it, the FBI already picked it up
00:23:48Wow, do you know many tapes there were I think there are five tapes. Did you get to see anything that was on the tapes?
00:23:53No heavens. Now our district manager came down and looked at it with the FBI. None of us saw anything. We work in that day
00:23:59No, it was my day off. Could you tell me how I could get a hold of your district manager?
00:24:07Just a minute
00:24:16Oh great, thanks very much. Can I hold on to this? I don't care. I'm sure my DM has another one. Do you have a card?

00:26:18Copy that
00:26:29I
00:26:49Suppose considering I spent 10 minutes walking in a dark warehouse not to mention another three minutes with a gun in my face
00:26:55Let's get ready to move. We don't have much time
00:26:59Where are you going? I just got here. You're going with tan and where's he going?

00:28:24Pass me the damn wire cutters. I
00:28:28Mean I hate to play 20 questions or anything, but who in the hell do you guys think you are a spy team or something?
00:28:34What do you think?

00:29:01Hate being nervous

00:38:00Scott you can't send new recruits on missions like that. I
00:38:05Just wanted to see how he responded in situations if he responded naturally, you know, like
00:38:12I guess his brother did. His brother? What the hell are you talking about?
00:38:35Brad's brother used to be my partner and
00:38:39Before he died, I promised him I'd look after his kid brother, but I don't know what to do with him. He's just so
00:38:48helpless
00:38:49So you bring him into the ring?
00:38:52Well, he was down we were shorthanded. I reached out
00:39:00Maybe I reached for the wrong reasons

00:39:42How you liking it so far?
00:39:44So far, I've been chased by a sweep team and had a gun in my face. Other than that, not too bad
00:39:49Yeah, well, uh, normally things don't get that hairy around here
00:39:52I've been working this job for a year now and I haven't seen any action
00:39:56Damn and your first night you get to go out with tan. I would have traded you. Trust me
00:40:01Jason here doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. Let alone go it's hand on the mission

00:41:33Okay, we don't have much time get in and move quickly
00:41:47I
00:42:17I
00:42:47I
00:43:18I
00:43:21Yeah, I've got three men in black entering the building from the south side it's like a small sweep team
00:43:37They're on the 12th floor you take the stairs up
00:43:40Helms off
00:43:46Shit sky we need to hurry up. We're going as fast as we can. We're a little hung up right now
00:44:10I
00:44:12I
00:44:27Got the film
00:44:29Oh
00:44:38What can listen to me if you guys need to take the film and get the hell out of what I'm leaving you can listen
00:44:44Be very careful. There's a piece of paper on my desk information about where to take this film
00:44:47Take the film to the address tomorrow night at 9 o'clock. The guy's name is Hank Olsen. Do not be late
00:44:52It's got a tan. Do not question me on this just do what I said. I need you to do this
00:44:59Hey
00:45:29I
00:45:59I
00:46:29I
00:46:52This is the fifth time I've been put on hold
00:46:54No, I would just like to talk to somebody do you have any customer service do you people care about
00:47:00Look, I just want to talk to Nancy Greenwood
00:47:03Yes, she is the Las Vegas district manager. No, I would really prefer that you don't put me
00:47:11Fine I'll hold
00:47:24I
00:47:51Yeah, hey it's but
00:47:53Once you pull something up
00:48:09Hi, I'm bud Chelser, how's it going in there?
00:48:15Great tough crowd. No problem. I'll talk you listen on October 3rd a bomb blew up ace camera. Look, mr. Chelser
00:48:22I don't have any family in this town and I sure as hell don't have any friends
00:48:25So if you're an investigator an attorney or some hotshot reporter, you're not gonna find anything here. So don't waste my time
00:48:44My file as I was saying on October 3rd a bomb took out a place called ace camera owned by a photographer named Mark Hill
00:48:52So what?
00:48:53Well just hours ago. You got caught breaking into his office
00:48:57Vegas is a small town. Look someone's trying to cover up
00:49:00These crimes here in Las Vegas with Pacific cargoes recent bombing problems. I
00:49:05Just was wondering what could be so bad that somebody won't kill to cover it. You're wasting my time
00:49:10June 17th 1972
00:49:13Is there ring a bell?
00:49:15I
00:49:17Was part of an SIN team that broke into Democratic National Committee headquarters in Washington DC
00:49:24Luckily for me. I was in the van running communications. They got caught. I
00:49:29Think you know the rest. My point is I work with some really big bad fish
00:49:35I'm impressed
00:49:37Now, what do you want? You know for someone with Navy SEAL and CIA background?
00:49:43You should cover your tracks better I found you way too easy. I thought I just asked you a question
00:49:49I'm investigating for Pacific cargo. I am here because you know something about that bombing. I read about it in the papers
00:49:55Look, you're in the SIN. I was in it. I know all about it. You guys don't usually kill people
00:49:59I just want to know about my health. Look, mr. Chelser. I'm sorry to waste your time
00:50:04But I can't look at you. Is this your first time in here because it doesn't become you
00:50:09Do yourself a favor one form SIN to another
00:50:13Help me out. And why should I trust you? Because if you do I'll get you out of here
00:50:22Why don't you look up a man named Gus Smith
00:50:28He's running for mayor stick to your end of the bargain
00:50:38I
00:51:09Do you usually hire people with Navy SEAL backgrounds just to answer your phones
00:51:21Excuse me, do I know you?
00:51:25No
00:51:29But you know sky Davids
00:51:31You
00:51:33What the hell are you but Chelser I'm here investigating why you sent an SIN team into Mark Helms office to steal a roll of
00:51:41undeveloped film
00:51:44Mr. Chelser, are you a police officer?
00:51:47Because normally it's customary for you to show some credentials to a person before you accuse them of a crime
00:51:53No, I'm not a police officer. I'm actually a lowly private investigator
00:51:57Well, then that'll give security more options on how they throw you out by mr. Chelser
00:52:06They've got your girl
00:52:11Sky Davids I
00:52:16Don't know who you think you are, but you were in no position to threaten me. She'll talk trust me
00:52:22What do you want I just want to know what's on that roll of film
00:52:28A few years ago when Margadie Felice was elected mayor. She was accused of taking bribe money from an old Las Vegas gangster
00:52:33Nicky Marcello
00:52:37See Margie's to sit on the game in control board for she was elected mayor
00:52:43So she was running interference for the mob
00:52:46Well, that was never. It was never really proven after she was elected mayor
00:52:50The media tried to play it up as if the federal government had a case. They didn't they had no evidence
00:52:55So now what?
00:52:58I'll say everything changed about a week ago
00:53:00When information leaked out that a local photographer by the name of Markell had an undeveloped film that
00:53:06Actually showed the Felice accepting money from Marcello
00:53:09They're actually taking the money. Yeah, so you sent Davis to find the film
00:53:15Yes
00:53:17I'm guilty of sending Sky Davis in the Mark Helms office to try to find the film
00:53:22But I did because I said he has a right to know and besides
00:53:25Helm is gonna sell the film to Marcello anyway Marcello
00:53:27I just wanted to make sure the pictures never hit the street. The last thing he's right now is more problems with the feds
00:53:34You expect me to believe that you're doing this because good folks of the city have a right to know
00:53:41That's right. I think you're full of shit
00:53:43The only reason you did this is to blackmail de Felice
00:53:49Everybody does it it's called tactics. I just figured that if I had the film then I'd be able to give you a stonewaller. No
00:53:56You know, it would be brilliant, wouldn't it?
00:53:59You're wrong. No, I'm not right before the election pictures surface of
00:54:03de Felice taking bribe money
00:54:05Hmm, you would take victory by landslide and put the notorious. Mr. Nix in jail
00:54:09Behind bars
00:54:11So then who bombed the photo lab Marcello?
00:54:14I don't know about Marcello
00:54:16He monitored so close by the feds. He sneezes a hand of a tissue. Wait a minute. Does de Felice know about this film?
00:54:22She knows we all know
00:54:26People never change
00:54:29Yeah, well don't tell me you wouldn't do the same thing
00:54:32conspiracy burglary
00:54:34At least not anymore
00:54:37So now what
00:54:39Get a blackmail me turn me in what no, I just want to know where the film is
00:54:45Thing is I'm not sure
00:54:48I've made arrangements to get it from sky tonight. As a matter of fact, I'm sending my consultant Hank Olson where
00:54:54He was supposed to meet her at nine o'clock tonight in a Tangiers casino
00:54:59You're in a different world out here the righteous you are the deeper they bury in the desert sand
00:55:04Mr. Smith do the good people of Las Vegas a favor?
00:55:08Don't run for office
00:55:29I
00:55:35Don't know man, I don't know if I can pull this off
00:55:40Just be cool, man
00:55:42I don't know what's going on
00:55:45Do you ever think about dying?
00:55:50Look man, I'm serious. I never had a job that I might die doing I have to admit I'm a little scared
00:55:56Yeah, well you should have thought about that earlier are you always such a prick
00:56:03Look I don't want to talk to you. I want to hear your stupid-ass stories or your dumb-ass questions
00:56:13Just want to evaluate the situation in peace whatever you say
00:56:26I
00:56:28I
00:56:53Thank Olsen here
00:56:58You got the film
00:57:02Yeah, what do you got for us
00:57:05Oh, you better like what I got for you. Look at this right here
00:57:12$100,000
00:57:16Can't just smell it
00:57:23Every pretty dollar
00:57:28We're getting paid tonight
00:57:34There you go
00:57:46Give me the briefcase. I'm not counting. Just give it to us. I
00:57:52I
00:57:55Thought we had a train
00:58:05You should have never gotten involved
00:58:08Drop the gun
00:58:19Scotty get up Brad
00:58:26I'll explain everything later get the film
00:58:32Get the suitcase
00:58:38I think you took it just a little too far this time Roger
00:58:42Now get the hell out of here Brad
00:58:44I can't just leave him here like this
00:58:46Don't worry about him I'll take care of him
00:58:50Who are you man
00:58:52I'm Scotty
00:58:54Your good friend
00:59:07I
00:59:37I
01:00:07I
01:00:37I
01:01:07I
01:01:37I
01:02:00Kid no, I'm pretty far from okay
01:02:07I
01:02:13Had a young guy like you get mixed up with Sky Davids, I don't even know man. I don't even know
01:02:26I want out of this town so bad man. You have no idea. Yes, I do
01:02:30I do
01:02:34Trust me. So now what what do we go to the police?
01:02:45The police kid do you have any idea who you're working for?
01:02:53No, not really
01:02:56You are working for an organization called the SIN it stands for special intelligence network
01:03:03It's been around longer than the Secret Service or the CIA
01:03:07After World War two the government pocketed the organization and uses a launching place for sabotage
01:03:14espionage Gus Smith
01:03:18Yes
01:03:21And Mayor de Felice both have SIN teams at their disposal now, the only question is who's got the better team
01:03:29There's no question
01:03:31They've won
01:03:33It's obvious several people are trying to cover up something
01:03:39So, what do you think of the film I think we have evidence of the largest political scandal in this city's history great
01:03:50Brad I need your help with what?
01:03:56I need to find some stuff on Roger chorus and Mayor de Felice
01:04:01Like what kind of stuff? I
01:04:04Don't know documents photographs phone tappings anything. Really? Wait, wait, wait a minute. I may know where we can find some evidence
01:04:13It's a mini-disc with phone tappings on
01:04:16Do you know where to find this evidence? Yeah, I was with tan the night he pulled it from the recording, you know
01:04:20On top of the city government building then all hell broke loose and we had to stash it under a desk on the 10th floor
01:04:25No, I mean you really know where to find this evidence. Yeah, I think so
01:04:29I mean, I know I know where the desk is. It's by the 10th floor exit
01:04:33There was a goofy picture on of some couple
01:04:38What are you thinking
01:04:41Huh
01:04:43Huh
01:04:47How's your acting
01:04:51Why I think you may need to go entertain an audience
01:05:13New
01:05:16Glasses
01:05:18Yeah
01:05:19It's amazing what you can buy when money's not an issue. So you got the briefcase? Oh, so that's what you're worried about
01:05:25Look at you behind this glass cage and all you can think about some money
01:05:29Isn't that interesting?
01:05:30Brad I know sky just shut up. I don't have time to listen to your crap
01:05:34I came here to ask for help and the only way you're gonna see any of this money is if you help me
01:05:39How can I help you when I'm in here? I want to know where you keep your library of phone tappings
01:05:48What are you talking about you sent tan and I out to tap the mayor's office right you must have some sort of library
01:05:55It's the investigator, isn't it? Look you've been using tan Jason and Judy for your own personal treasure hunt. I
01:06:02Just want to know
01:06:04Where do I fit in I
01:06:06Guess that's for you to decide. What do you mean? That's for me to decide
01:06:09You never told me my life would be a risk working for you
01:06:13Look at me now look I
01:06:16Couldn't get out of this if I wanted to I know I know I didn't want things to happen this way
01:06:21But at this point at this point, it's beyond my control
01:06:25So when you ask where you fit in you just remember that's in your hands now
01:06:29You can take the money and run it's your choice. You and tan can split it if you want sky
01:06:35Roger core shot tan at the drop last night
01:06:49What is this
01:06:52Markham took photos mayor Margaret de Felice accepting bribe money from Nicky Marcella
01:06:58You need to get out of here
01:07:00De Felice sent course to blow up the photo lab
01:07:03They realized it wasn't there. So they went across town to his personal office
01:07:06They tried to beat us to the punch. You are in way over your head
01:07:11You need to get out of here
01:07:14I will handle this investigator. You need to get out of town
01:07:17I'm not going anywhere until you tell me where your library of phone tappings are
01:07:21It doesn't matter. It does God damn it. I nearly lost my life because of you
01:07:26I'm not just gonna turn my back to a scandal. No look
01:07:32Your friends died for you
01:07:34I'm not going anywhere until you tell me where your library of phone tappings are
01:07:38I'm not going anywhere
01:07:41Your friends died for you. They died for this
01:07:44You owe it to them to put an end to this now
01:07:47Brad, even if I told you where the phone tappings are, it would be too dangerous to go back for
01:07:53I don't care. Where is it?
01:07:55It's here
01:07:56Where?
01:07:59Where?
01:08:04In my office in a filing cabinet under my desk
01:08:07It's locked so you'll need to find the keys. They're in the plant
01:08:13Brad, these people are willing to kill as you can see
01:08:17And at this point, to kill you or me is nothing
01:08:23You need to take the money and get out of town
01:08:26And just turn our backs on Tan, Jason and Judy?
01:08:30They would to us
01:08:31I don't think so
01:08:37Come on
01:09:08Beep
01:09:18Beep
01:09:26I'm going to kill you
01:09:38Beep
01:09:44This is where you guys had your base of operations?
01:09:47This is where I slept for the last eight nights
01:09:50This is nothing but a rat infested dump
01:09:53This is to see my last apartment
01:10:08She said it was under the desk
01:10:10She said it was in a plant, right?
01:10:12Well, that's what she said
01:10:14This isn't some wild goose chase because there's nothing here
01:10:23Oh, they're here
01:10:28An entire library of illegally obtained phone tappings
01:10:32Good stuff
01:10:34I don't believe we've met
01:10:36Lucky for me
01:10:39I'm Roger Correz. I've heard a lot about you, bud
01:10:42You know, I've heard some stuff about you
01:10:44And if you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a question
01:10:47Does it get easier, your job, the more people you kill?
01:10:51Well, I don't know. I've never really thought about that
01:10:55What do you want?
01:10:57It's not what I want. It's what you want
01:11:00Right?
01:11:02You know, you're right
01:11:05I'd like to hear how crooked your mayor's politics are
01:11:07That's not going to happen
01:11:09You want me to tell you why?
01:11:10Oh, absolutely, indulge me
01:11:12Because I run things here
01:11:14Something you Washington boys don't understand
01:11:16You know, you seem to forget that if it wasn't for us Washington boys
01:11:20You wouldn't have a job here in the first place
01:11:22And I gotta tell you something, frankly
01:11:24You're a slob. Your whole network is sloppy
01:11:26So sloppy, in fact, that you have implicated Mr. Nicky Marcello
01:11:31Tell me, bud, how do you figure?
01:11:33Oh, well, because your antics are what has brought the FBI down on Mr. Marcello
01:11:38And I gotta tell you something, when he finds out about this
01:11:40I mean, considering the fact that he had absolutely nothing to do with the bombing at Ace Photo Lab
01:11:45He's going to be very upset
01:11:47And when the media gets a hold of this and tries to pin all of this on Mr. Marcello
01:11:51And you and DeFelice walk away without a scratch
01:11:53You know, the one thing you don't understand about guys like me is
01:11:57We don't give a damn about wise guys like Nicky Marcello
01:12:00Or crooked mayors like DeFelice
01:12:02We're sent here to do a job, and that's it
01:12:04If people burn, then they burn
01:12:08Now, you're gonna tell me where the money and the pictures are
01:12:13Or I'll drop his ass right here
01:12:15It doesn't matter to me one way or the other
01:12:17Either way, I still get paid
01:12:24You are so wrong
01:12:26But now indulge me. Why is that?
01:12:28Because you got a big mouth
01:12:33What the hell's going on here?
01:12:35Put the gun down, Roger
01:12:40Give me the gun
01:13:03You're nothing but a potato chip gangster, and don't forget it
01:13:11I'd like to help you, really
01:13:14I would
01:13:16Mr. Marcello, here are your pictures
01:13:20Here's your negatives
01:13:23I can assure you, your name is in the clear
01:13:26And sorry about all the confusion
01:13:30Buddy, thanks for contacting us
01:13:32Pleasure doing business with you
01:13:34My pleasure
01:13:36Come on, kid, let's get out of here
01:13:43So you got the wrinkles out of your belly, huh?
01:13:45So I make you laugh
01:13:48Huh?
01:13:53All right, Mayor, let me ask you
01:13:54What's the outlook on growth for the Valley?
01:13:56You think we've kind of moved past
01:13:57That whole stereotypical Vegas image now?
01:13:59Well, Las Vegas has grown immensely
01:14:01In the last few years
01:14:02And we're no longer a hub
01:14:03For adult entertainment and gambling
01:14:06We're a place for families to grow
01:14:08And we've prided ourselves
01:14:10On becoming family-oriented
01:14:12We must maintain this at all costs
01:14:14Mr. Jordan, Bud Schelzer here
01:14:17Yes, sir, I'm gonna need another $50,000
01:14:21Maybe here to host a little radio show?
01:14:23Well, I wouldn't want to steal your limelight, Joe
01:14:25All right, Mayor Margaret D. Felice
01:14:27I thank you for coming in
01:14:28On this beautiful Monday morning
01:14:30It's Jeff Katz on Las Vegas' Talks
01:14:32Listen to me carefully
01:14:34If these pictures get out, then it's over
01:14:36Okay, Jeff
01:14:37Everything is over
01:14:38Everything that we've worked hard for is gone
01:14:40And I cannot believe it all is gone
01:14:42Keep it on, keep it on
01:14:43Whatever's rolling in there, keep it on
01:14:45Are you listening to me, Roger?
01:14:46Let's get it on, please!
01:14:47Keep running that
01:14:48Stop it, Jeff!
01:14:49This is over for you
01:14:50What are you going to do?
01:14:51It's got nothing to do with it
01:14:52You keep rolling it in there
01:14:55You want me to blow the building up?
01:14:57We don't even know if the film is there
01:15:00God damn it, where else would it be?
01:15:13So did you take care of everything?
01:15:18Judy's uncle
01:15:19Jason's only brother
01:15:21Of course I took care of Tan's mom
01:15:24And I also took care of Paul Jacobs' dad
01:15:28Paul Jacobs was the clerk at the photo lab
01:15:30Who was killed during the bombing
01:15:32Luckily they were all in town
01:15:33So they all received cash
01:15:36So did you think about what I asked you?
01:15:39Yeah, I did
01:15:43I'm going to go for it
01:15:46I respect that
01:15:48I figured if I don't go for it now, I never will
01:15:51The music world is a rough place
01:15:53Yeah, but it's worth a shot
01:15:57Besides, I heard there's a few bands in L.A.
01:15:59That are looking for a singer
01:16:03I want you to take this
01:16:06What's this? My Christmas bonus?
01:16:08It's eight grand traveling money
01:16:12Well, this ought to get me to Barstow
01:16:14Just shut up and get out of here
01:16:16Before I change my mind
01:16:21Marcy Whitmore?
01:16:23It's a pleasure, Jay Krueger
01:16:30Hey
01:16:34We would have made a great team
01:16:40Tony, what is the matter with you?
01:16:41It's the fourth three-quarter this week you've messed up
01:16:43You know, what do I have to take?
01:16:44Yes, you do have to take this
01:16:46Now listen to me, the customer ordered a rum and coke
01:16:48And a tequila sunrise
01:16:49It's a simple little order
01:16:50I can't believe you messed this up
01:16:51I don't want you in my business
01:16:52You can't get the orders right
01:16:53Fine, you're fired
01:17:50Today in the news, Mayor Margaret DeFelice
01:17:52Was indicted on conspiracy to commit murder
01:17:54After phone taps mysteriously appeared
01:17:56Of her and Roger Kouros
01:17:58Planning to bomb the Mark Helm photo lab
01:18:00That killed Paul Jacobs back in October
01:18:02Did the FBI ever find those pictures of DeFelice
01:18:04Or Nikki Marcella?
01:18:05No, no, no

01:19:38And the FBI is still investigating
01:19:40I play Bud Schelzer
01:19:45He's a special investigator
01:19:49What?
01:19:51What was the question again? I'm sorry
01:19:53Bud Schelzer is the superhero in this movie
01:19:56He does everything, never gets caught doing anything
01:19:59And he's always one step ahead of the bad guys
01:20:02I'm the good guy
01:20:03My name is Odell Austin Jr.
01:20:10And I play the character of 10
01:20:12And he's down to business
01:20:14He takes care of business
01:20:16And you don't play, you don't bullshit
01:20:18I play the character of Roger Forrest
01:20:23He helps set up the evil part of the movie
01:20:26So he helps set up the suspense
01:20:33Everybody says the Hollywood business is tough
01:20:35But not for me
01:20:36Dumb luck
01:20:39I just heard it through the grapevine
01:20:40And I was like, I want to be part of this film
01:20:43I just auditioned for it
01:20:46Did my best and I got the gig
01:20:48I was pleasantly surprised when the director, Kelly Swartz
01:20:52Asked me if I'd be interested in playing Bud Schelzer
01:20:54And I happened to be working with the producer of the movie
01:20:57His name is Edward Denzel
01:20:59And he had said to me that he thought that there would be a part
01:21:02In this movie that he was working on that I'd be appropriate for
01:21:04I always loved to act, so I actually left cruise ships
01:21:07To an entertainment out there to come act
01:21:10So I drove to Las Vegas
01:21:12Picked up the paper and said, I want to be an actor
01:21:14Kelly said, hey, you know, shooting the video
01:21:17I like the style, I like the personality
01:21:19I know you're a nut like me
01:21:21So what do you think about a small role?
01:21:23I'm like, hey!
01:21:24I read the script and I said, this is nice, you know
01:21:26And then he offered me the part
01:21:28And I said, yeah, I'd like to do that
01:21:30And I read for the part of the story manager
01:21:32And they actually asked me to stay
01:21:35To read the role of Skye Davids
01:21:37Because they thought there was an interesting quality about me
01:21:39That would be appropriate for Skye
01:21:42He said lead actor roles needed
01:21:44I went down, auditioned, and got it
01:21:46That simple, that easy
01:21:53I liked it, I liked it the first time I read it, honestly
01:21:56Actually, I was really impressed when I read the script
01:21:59I'm not in the habit of reading lots of movie scripts
01:22:03It was a relatively new experience for me
01:22:06You know what, my first impression of the script was
01:22:08What the hell is this?
01:22:10The script is probably the strongest thing in this movie
01:22:13It's a great story
01:22:14It was my first time reading a script, period, ever
01:22:17Reading a script
01:22:18And so I'm looking at all this dialogue
01:22:20And it took about two weeks for the dialogue to soak in
01:22:23And then I figured out, okay, it was just like a book
01:22:26And so after I read it the second time
01:22:29I said, you know what, this has got some twist to it
01:22:32And I actually read it twice
01:22:35Just to get a good sense of what I was jumping into
01:22:39So I really liked it
01:22:41I thought it was pretty creative
01:22:43It's a totally different outtake on what me
01:22:48Or people that don't live in Vegas
01:22:51Would take from Vegas
01:22:53I was impressed with the writing of the script
01:22:55I thought it was going to be an incredible undertaking
01:22:58You know, considering the means that we were going to have
01:23:01To use to fund the project and everything
01:23:03A lot of the new movies, it seems like
01:23:05They decide to get a little crazy
01:23:07But they try and switch a lot of things up
01:23:08But this is just a good story
01:23:09I mean, great characters, great contrast of characters
01:23:12And the story is what's strong
01:23:14It holds up
01:23:15And even, you'll see many low-budget films
01:23:19To high-budget films
01:23:20If it has a great story in either direction, it works
01:23:29Kelly's a jerk
01:23:31He doesn't know his right from his left
01:23:35Yum, you!
01:23:37What?
01:23:38No, I'm not saying he doesn't know his right from his left
01:23:40Like, right, I mean
01:23:41He doesn't know actually right from left
01:23:43Like when he tells you to walk
01:23:44But other than that, he's a great director
01:23:46He was cool as hell
01:23:47You know, he wasn't like
01:23:48He never got upset
01:23:49We were up here joking around
01:23:51Playing around
01:23:52Just wasting time, basically
01:23:54You know, he was just dinking around
01:23:56And he just kept his cool
01:23:58You know, let's get to work
01:24:00And when he said that
01:24:02That's when we just, you know
01:24:04Took the bull by the horn and just did our job
01:24:06You know, Kelly
01:24:08He's coming into his own as a director
01:24:10Because you can see where he'd want to help the actors
01:24:14And you can see where he'd want to let them run
01:24:16And let people figure it out for themselves
01:24:18And he's cool in the sense that
01:24:21He learns along with the cast
01:24:24Kelly is a terrific director
01:24:26He's very talented
01:24:27He's learning his craft
01:24:29And very amenable and open to ideas
01:24:31I think he listened to actors
01:24:33I think he listened to his other production crew
01:24:36He got a lot of input from people
01:24:38And filtered out, you know, the things that worked for him
01:24:41Working with Kelly as a director
01:24:43Was a lot of fun
01:24:45Because theater directors and film directors
01:24:47I think have vastly different approaches
01:24:49As to how they go about things
01:24:51I've worked with
01:24:53Some directors that were cool
01:24:55And, you know, not assholes on set
01:24:58And, gosh, I mean
01:25:00Honestly, Kelly was
01:25:02It was more like
01:25:04To me, it was more like working with a friend
01:25:08And action!
01:25:12I just can't afford that
01:25:14I've got bills to pay
01:25:16Come on
01:25:19Yeah
01:25:23You're always late, Morrison
01:25:27What the hell are you doing?
01:25:29What the hell are you doing?
01:25:34What the hell are you doing?
01:25:43What the hell are you doing?
01:25:45And action!
01:25:49Oh
01:25:51Listen
01:25:53I need you to be focused
01:25:55Focus? Focused on what?
01:26:05I'm just kidding
01:26:07Retirement's just around the corner
01:26:09Great
01:26:13Cut!
01:26:16Ha ha ha ha
01:26:18Ready?
01:26:20Go
01:26:22Go
01:26:24Cut!
01:26:26All right, Councilman, we cannot talk about anything
01:26:28That's currently in litigation
01:26:30Well, that's just it. Do the people of Las Vegas even realize
01:26:32That there is litigation? I mean
01:26:34You know what?
01:26:36You know what?
01:26:38I'm not unscrupulous
01:26:41Ha ha ha
01:26:46Hey, did you catch the game last night?
01:26:48Are you kidding me?
01:26:50I wouldn't get that
01:26:52No
01:26:54I work from four in the morning
01:26:59Because I think you're gonna n00b
01:27:01Because I think you're gonna n00b
01:27:03Oh my god, I can't help it
01:27:05I think you're gonna n00b
01:27:07I didn't do it that time
01:27:10I'm not doing nothing, man
01:27:12Just keep rolling
01:27:14Stop!
01:27:16Stop!
01:27:18Stop!
01:27:20Action
01:27:22Do that again
01:27:24Dude, you're gonna have to get this right
01:27:26Ha ha ha
01:27:28And action!
01:27:32Cut!
01:27:34I got the film
01:27:40Ha ha ha
01:27:44She's heading for the lobby, let's move!
01:27:46I'm stuck on something
01:27:48Okay
01:27:50Ha ha ha
01:27:52You okay?
01:27:54Whoa
01:27:56Heaven let your light shine down
01:28:00I'm stuck on something
01:28:02Who let the dogs out?
01:28:04Who knows how to make plastic explosives?
01:28:10Did you roll it?
01:28:12Ha ha ha
01:28:14Action!
01:28:16How can I help you?
01:28:18I forgot
01:28:20I'm a special investigator with specific cargo
01:28:22Specific cargo
01:28:24Ha ha ha
01:28:26And cut
01:28:28Do not be late
01:28:30Sorry
01:28:32Sorry, sorry, sorry
01:28:34Rolling
01:28:38What money?
01:28:44Just tell me what's on the film!
01:28:46Plane noises!
01:28:48That's what's on the film!
01:28:54Get down on the ground!
01:29:00Hit that door
01:29:02One on six, one on six
01:29:08Rolling
01:29:18He's worked with the CIA, the FBI
01:29:20The Secret Service
01:29:22Just about every agency that has anything to do with domestic terrorism
01:29:24Can we do that again?
01:29:26I just fricking ran into the wall
01:29:28Amateurs!
01:29:30Even dirty my hat
01:29:32That's a wrap
