00:04:00Welcome all of you to the Real Lodge and our 50th annual Winter Carnival. All of us here have been looking forward to this big event for some time. Even the weather has blessed us with good snow and cold sunny skies. I'm sure you'll agree that the events that we have lined up will make this our best Winter Carnival yet. Let me tell you a little about what we have planned. First of all, you may compete in as many of the events as you remind to.
00:04:30We've got cross country skiing, snowmobiling, dog sled racing, and every variety of alpine skiing. Downhill, slalom, and freestyle skiing. It's what we used to call hot dogging. But you hot doggers will be judged on grace and originality, not on your audacity.
00:05:00There's Billy Joe, the Snow Queen.
00:05:03Billy Joe!
00:05:12Hail to the Queen!
00:05:15Hail to the Queen!
00:05:27Charlie, Mr. Rowland.
00:05:29Can I help you, Buster?
00:05:30Come on, Charlie.
00:05:31No.
00:05:34Tony, could you come out here a second? Buster Smith wants to talk to you.
00:05:41Hi, Buster. What can I do for you?
00:05:43Oh, can I talk to you a moment? In private.
00:05:46Sure.
00:05:51I am so pleased you remembered, Billy Joe, even though your mother's too young to remember, that I was the very first Queen of our very first Winter Carnival. But I was only 16. That was, uh, 50 years ago.
00:06:07Charlie Burrett Smith.
00:06:08Tony, this is a fine time to be going skiing.
00:06:12Hardly, Grandma. We have a little problem.
00:06:14The manager takes care of big problems, which we don't have at Real Lodge.
00:06:19No. No big problems here, Grandma.
00:06:25He thinks because he's my grandson, he can treat me as if I were his grandmother.
00:07:13Heidi?
00:07:15Heidi, can you explain to me exactly where...
00:07:16You won't believe me, either. Nobody will ever believe me.
00:07:20Well, what's more important, finding your friend, or trying to convince us that there's some kind of monster out there?
00:07:25There is. I saw its footprints. I heard it. And it's got jaws.
00:07:31It's a monster.
00:07:33It's a monster.
00:07:35It's a monster.
00:07:37It's a monster.
00:07:38There is. I saw its footprints. I heard it. And it's got Jennifer.
00:07:43And all anybody's doing around here is staring at me like I'm crazy.
00:07:47Nobody thinks you're crazy.
00:07:49The problem is, the patrolmen haven't been able to find Jennifer yet.
00:07:53In fact, they can't even find your tracks.
00:07:55So you're going to have to get a hold of yourself and take us back out there again.
00:07:59I'm not going back there.
00:08:01Please, don't ask me to. Please, I can't.
00:08:04I can't.
00:08:07Okay. Okay.
00:08:12But you can describe the spot, can't you?
00:08:15No. The only thing I can remember are those footprints.
00:08:23I'm scared, Luntz.
00:08:29What am I going to tell Jennifer's parents?
00:08:31They always expect me to keep an eye on her.
00:08:34I'm going to call them right now.
00:08:36No, no, no. Don't worry them unnecessarily like that.
00:08:39We're going to find Jennifer. I promise you.
00:08:42Let's get back to the lodge and get yourself warmed up.
00:08:45I'll have Buster drive you down.
00:08:50Hey, try not to worry, okay? We're going to find her. I'm telling you.
00:08:54Tony, we passed an old barn off by itself near a stream.
00:09:00Good girl.
00:09:03Take her down to the lodge. Have my grandmother keep an eye on her.
00:09:07I'd hate to have our guests or anybody at Carnival hear that kind of story.
00:09:12From any of us, huh?
00:09:24Let's split up. See what we can find.
00:09:27We'll meet back at the lodge in a half hour. Let's go.
00:10:23Jennifer!
00:10:53Jennifer!
00:11:23Jennifer!
00:11:54Can we have your autograph, Mr. Seabird?
00:11:57You gave my father one at the 1968 Winter Olympics.
00:12:00But then when you won that gold medal, he sold it.
00:12:02He did? What did he get for it?
00:12:05Don't tell him. Let him keep his illusions.
00:12:13Will you be staying for the whole Winter Carnival?
00:12:15I think so.
00:12:17That's just great. Well, thank you.
00:12:24Well, it's nice to feel wanted somewhere.
00:12:35Coming?
00:12:54Hey, Tony!
00:12:59I don't think he recognized us.
00:13:02I think he did.
00:13:04Perhaps he's got something more important to do right now.
00:13:08No.
00:13:10Good old Tony knows I'm going to ask him for a job.
00:13:13How could he know that? He hasn't heard from you in ages.
00:13:17Em, you were right.
00:13:19Coming up here was a dumb idea.
00:13:22I never said it was a dumb idea.
00:13:25I just said you might be better off looking for work outside the ski business.
00:13:29This is all I know how to do.
00:13:31You know what I think, Garth?
00:13:33You don't really want a job.
00:13:35This is just an excuse to back out and still feel right about it.
00:13:50This wasn't an animal.
00:13:53And it wasn't human either.
00:13:56Well, that certainly narrows it down.
00:13:59Did the other men see it?
00:14:01I don't think so.
00:14:03You didn't ask them?
00:14:05If they'd have seen it, they'd have told me.
00:14:07They thought Heidi was imagining things.
00:14:09They couldn't possibly think that of you.
00:14:11One word from you, it'd be all over town in a minute.
00:14:14Oh, it's a fine time to have a panic, just before our Winter Carnival.
00:14:17I'm not hiding anything.
00:14:20I didn't tell the men because I wanted to get them out of the area as quick as I could.
00:14:25Not because you have a vested interest in the future of this resort?
00:14:30Grandma, I'm going to try to spell it out for you very simple.
00:14:34There's something very strange and very dangerous out there.
00:14:39And if I thought it would stay up there, fine.
00:14:42We could designate the area avalanche prone and just seal it off.
00:14:45Well, if it were going to come any nearer, wouldn't it have done so by now?
00:14:50What do you base that on? You don't know anything about it.
00:14:54I mean, you don't know how long it's been up there, when it got there, it could have got there last night.
00:14:59Just in time for the Winter Carnival.
00:15:01What are you being so facetious about?
00:15:04For heaven's sake, what do you want us to do?
00:15:08Report it to Sheriff Paraday immediately.
00:15:10Report what to Sheriff Paraday?
00:15:11Can you hear yourself describing what you saw, what you thought you saw?
00:15:15Tony, we need this carnival.
00:15:18It's what keeps the tourists coming here all year round.
00:15:21The whole town needs it.
00:15:23I know all that.
00:15:25Well then, let's just hold our fire until the carnival is over.
00:15:28I agree with you.
00:15:30Let's designate the area restricted.
00:15:33Tell the maintenance crew to put up a slew of signs.
00:15:36And what do you tell Jennifer's parents?
00:15:38Tony, I...
00:15:40I'm not being insensitive.
00:15:43Just realistic.
00:15:46You know what I think?
00:15:48I think it was an avalanche.
00:15:50Bodies do disappear in avalanches, you know.
00:15:54Are you forgetting about Heidi?
00:15:57I'm not worried about Heidi.
00:16:01And I certainly don't have to worry about you, Tony.
00:16:04Do I?
00:16:05After all, you are my grandson.
00:16:20Charlie, see if you can locate Sheriff Paraday for me.
00:16:23Oh, all right.
00:16:25Gar, Ellen.
00:16:27I'm sorry I had to keep running.
00:16:29Crisis.
00:16:31You two look great.
00:16:32Does he still wear his gold medals to bed?
00:16:36Listen, I'm still running.
00:16:38Let's get together, have a drink later on, and confess everything.
00:16:44I've forgotten how beautiful you are.
00:16:51You always were the winner.
00:16:53I need a job, Tony.
00:16:54I didn't worry about it.
00:17:25Mr. Rill, I heard you didn't find the girl.
00:17:28Where have you been?
00:17:30With Heidi?
00:17:31Yeah.
00:17:32How is she?
00:17:33Your grandmother and the doctor gave her something.
00:17:35Put her out for a while.
00:17:37She was in pretty bad shock.
00:17:39Look, Mr. Rill, I'm supposed to have the rest of the day off.
00:17:42I got a pretty good idea where the girl is up there on that mountain.
00:17:45If it's all right with you, I'd like to take a couple of patrollers up there, look around, see what I can find.
00:17:48No, and that's an order.
00:17:50May I ask why?
00:17:52Because I don't want anybody up there.
00:17:54I told Ben Cochran and maintenance, you tell them to get ready to put a lot of signs up there.
00:17:59Yes, sir.
00:18:01Saying what?
00:18:03What?
00:18:05How do you want the signs to read?

00:23:19Speak up.
00:23:21Inside.
00:23:23The water dropped.
00:23:44Oh, my.
00:24:06Oh, my.
00:24:19Hey, Tony.
00:24:22Sheriff, I want to talk to you.
00:24:24Sure.
00:24:25Okay, hold on. I'll be right there.
00:24:33Unit 2 calling Unit 1. Unit 2 calling Unit 1.
00:24:43Unit 2, go ahead.
00:24:45Sheriff, some ski patroller wants to talk to you.
00:24:49Yeah, what about?
00:24:51The man said murder.
00:24:53What? Where?
00:24:55Out at the old Fairchild place.
00:24:58I'm on my way.
00:24:59Tony, he's gonna have to wait.
00:25:01Wait a minute.
00:25:22Sorry I'm late.
00:25:24How's our new superstar?
00:25:26Your grandmother decided that a living legend is just what this place needs.
00:25:32May I have some coffee, please?
00:25:34Would you like some more tea, Mrs. Hebert?
00:25:36Yes, thank you, Mr. Rill.
00:25:38Tea.
00:25:42What is it, Tony?
00:25:44Pressures.
00:25:45Comes with...
00:25:47Inheriting all this.
00:25:49I must tell you I'm very impressed.
00:25:51You really built this into something.
00:25:53Why, thank you.
00:25:55Thank you for giving Gar a job.
00:25:59That's all in our favor.
00:26:02But he told me he had a hard time getting you up here.
00:26:04How come?
00:26:06Well, I only get two weeks off a year, you know, and I had my heart set on a warm climate.
00:26:14And I was afraid of seeing you again.
00:26:17After all this time, everything we had.
00:26:21What did you think would happen?
00:26:23I don't know.
00:26:25I've been having a lot of fantasies about you for the last year.
00:26:29Fantasies about me?
00:26:30Good or bad?
00:26:32Not bad.
00:26:35A friend of mine, a doctor, said that when a woman starts having fantasies about the man she didn't marry,
00:26:41she's not getting enough realities from the man she did.
00:26:45I think your friend is talking to you about sexual realities, and you're not.
00:26:50Reality is the problem.
00:26:53You know, Tony, if I were an archaeologist or something, it wouldn't be so bad.
00:26:57But I'm a reporter.
00:26:59Television is all here and now.
00:27:01It's exciting, it's challenging, it's stimulating.
00:27:03That's where I am all day.
00:27:05Then I go home to Gar.
00:27:08And it's the winter of 68.
00:27:10That's where he is.
00:27:12How long has he been like that?
00:27:14Do you know that he hasn't been up on his ski since he won the gold medals?
00:27:20That's incredible.
00:27:23Well, maybe coming up here will change all that.
00:27:26Not his fault entirely.
00:27:2825% of the world watched him win those medals.
00:27:31The president called him.
00:27:33He was on magazine covers.
00:27:34He did television commercials.
00:27:36He was a hero for an instant.
00:27:38And whatever it takes to go back to being an ordinary mortal, Gar doesn't have it.
00:27:45It's really a form of paralysis.
00:27:47Well, as I see the problem, doctor, you're still in love with the man.
00:27:52Well, I could fall out of love with him.
00:27:54It'd be so much easier.
00:27:57You know, marriage can survive a lot of things.
00:28:01But it can't survive lack of respect.
00:28:05And I've lost about all the respect I ever had for him.
00:28:11I need a nap.
00:28:14Wait a minute.
00:28:15You know what you need?
00:28:17You need to have someone say he loves you.
00:28:20And I do, you know.
00:28:22I always have.
00:28:35Hey.
00:29:00I saw that, you know.
00:29:02Kissing my wife.
00:29:04Hey, guess who's been elected to crown Queen Betty Jo?
00:29:11Yours truly.
00:29:14Gar, are you still a good marksman?
00:29:19You mean on the rifle range?
00:29:21No, not necessarily.
00:29:23What do you mean?
00:29:25Okay, whatever I tell you, you'd have to promise me not to repeat it to anybody.
00:29:29Okay.
00:29:32You're serious, aren't you?
00:29:33Mm-hmm.
00:29:35Not even Ellen?
00:29:36Especially Ellen.
00:29:39Why especially Ellen?
00:29:41Because she's a news person.
00:29:46Okay.
00:29:48Tony.
00:29:54I'll see you in an hour at the swimming pool, okay?
00:29:56Okay.
00:30:05You better take the boy home now, Mr. Cochran.
00:30:07I appreciate your help.
00:30:09Sure.
00:30:11Thanks, son.
00:30:44Something that's troubling you, Tony.
00:30:58Why don't you tell me what it is?
00:31:00You remember a news story a few months back?
00:31:04Some hikers claimed that one of their party, a young girl, was carried off by a 12-foot hairy monster?
00:31:10Yeah, bigfoot.
00:31:12You believe in such a creature?
00:31:16I really don't know.
00:31:18But, you know, they say that there are hundreds of them roaming around all over the country.
00:31:22Who says?
00:31:23Lots of people.
00:31:25Right after that story broke, Ellen did a special on the Bigfoot controversy.
00:31:29So she traveled all over the country.
00:31:32Interviewed dozens of people who supposedly had seen one of them.
00:31:35Has one of them been seen around here?
00:31:37Is that what your crisis was all about?
00:31:41Well, I saw something, Garth.
00:31:44It was monstrous.
00:31:47And it wasn't an animal.
00:31:50And it wasn't human either.
00:31:54And now you find that you're too rational and too realistic to allow yourself to believe it was something else.
00:32:00Is that it?
00:32:02A little bit of all that.
00:32:04And that's why you hired me to go out and blow its brains out, right?
00:32:11Talk about friendship.
00:32:15Give it a something else.
00:32:16I didn't give you a job as a hired killer, Garth.
00:32:19Of course not.
00:32:21You were only thinking of this town that you love so very much.
00:32:24You're damn right I am.
00:32:26That thing is dangerous, Garth.
00:32:28Thing.
00:32:29Just because it doesn't look like you or me makes it a thing.
00:32:33And then it's all right to go out and kill it in cold blood, right?
00:32:37And how do you know it's dangerous?
00:32:39Everyone who's ever been in contact with one says exactly the same thing.
00:32:43It stares at you for a few seconds.
00:32:46And then it disappears again into the wilderness.
00:32:48Except when it feels like carrying off a young girl.
00:32:51That story turned out to be a hoax.
00:32:53I'm not talking about that story.
00:32:55I'm talking about one of our guests.
00:32:58I found her jacket the other day.
00:33:01It looked like it had been ripped off her body and it was bloodstained.
00:33:04And I believe that thing killed her.
00:33:19Have you seen my husband?
00:33:20No, Elmer, I haven't.
00:33:23No.
00:33:29Jimmy, are you looking for me?
00:33:31No.
00:33:32Sheriff Paraday needs to see Tony right away.
00:33:34You have any idea where he might be?
00:33:36No, I haven't.
00:33:38Oh, Elvin, it seems as if both our men are missing.
00:33:42Is something wrong?
00:33:44Nothing you want to hear about.
00:33:45Hey, look, I got to get right back out there.
00:33:47As soon as he shows up, will you tell him the sheriff wants him to come right out to the old Fairchild farm?
00:34:48Sheriff, I went out to the Rill Lodge.
00:34:49They don't know where Tony is.
00:34:50I talked to Mrs. Rill.
00:34:52I told her as soon as he shows up, I'll send him out here right away.
00:34:55You make anything of this?
00:35:17No.
00:35:47Yeah.
00:35:56Amazing, isn't she?
00:35:58Yeah, really.
00:36:48Tony, I thought I saw something up there.
00:36:54Where?
00:37:03Come on.
00:37:04Let's go.
00:37:05Come on.
00:37:06Come on.
00:37:07Come on.
00:37:08Come on.
00:37:09Come on.

00:37:14Come on.
00:37:15Come on.
00:37:16Come on.
00:37:17We got to get to the barn.
00:37:18The sheriff's waiting for us.

00:43:37Oh.
00:43:38Oh, sir.
00:43:42Whatever did that to that girl, the less people it'd get in its way, the more it's gonna stay
00:43:49alive.
00:43:50Right, so we're gonna say that the girl was mauled to death by a crazed grizzly out of
00:43:56hibernation.
00:43:57And that's the story I'd like for you to tell your wife, Mr. Seaburg.
00:44:02All right, Sheriff, I will.
00:44:03For now, that is.
00:44:08Tomorrow morning, when it gets daylight,
00:44:11I'd like for the three of us to sneak out here,
00:44:15track that thing down, and kill it.
00:44:20We just lost Mr. Seaburg.
00:44:23No, you didn't, Sheriff.
00:44:26Whatever did that to that girl in there
00:44:29has got to be destroyed.
00:44:32Fine.
00:44:34Okay.
00:45:02Come on.
00:45:32Come on.
00:46:02Come on.

00:47:33Hi, girls. How's it going?
00:47:35Hi.
00:47:37Hi, Betty Jo.
00:47:39Oh, Betty Jo, smile.
00:48:03Ta-da!
00:48:27Guy!
00:48:28Are you all right?
00:48:29Guy, did you see it? Did you see it?
00:48:44The ground!
00:48:46The ground!
00:48:50Mama!
00:48:52Mama!
00:48:54Mama!
00:48:57Mama!
00:49:10What a mess.
00:49:12How are we going to write this one up?
00:49:14I don't know.
00:49:27Guy.
00:49:28What?
00:49:29Please don't tell me. I'm sorry.
00:49:31He was right. I should have let him report it.
00:49:34But we had to have our way to Carnival.
00:49:36It was our 50th.
00:49:38I guarantee you, it'll continue for the next 15 years.
00:49:43Now, you take care of yourself, all right?
00:49:45And I'll take care of this one.
00:49:47Take care.
00:49:56Bye-bye.
00:50:26Bye-bye.
00:51:26Bye-bye.
00:51:56Bye-bye.
00:52:26Bye-bye.
00:52:56Bye-bye.
00:53:26Bye-bye.
00:53:57I was so terrified.
00:54:00Thank God.
00:54:02You know, you scared the hell out of me.
00:54:15Guy.
00:54:17Yeah?
00:54:18I'm proud of you.
00:54:20I'm sorry I let us drift so far apart.
00:54:23We both cannot let that happen.
00:54:26I should have been there when you needed me all these years.
00:54:32You finally were.
00:54:34I was?
00:54:36Sure.
00:54:39If you hadn't gotten lost, I would never have had good enough reason to get back on those keys again.
00:54:45How was it?
00:54:48I stood on top of this mountain.
00:54:53Looked down.
00:54:57And I saw myself, instead of flying down, I was falling down.
00:55:02Completely out of control.
00:55:06But once I got skiing, it was great.
00:55:11It was really great, Alan.
00:55:14I should have told you a long time ago why I never skied after 68.
00:55:18I think it's because I saw too many champions become has-beens.
00:55:24I didn't want to be a has-been.
00:55:33So I figured that by not skiing anymore, I'd stay on top.
00:55:45But I didn't.
00:55:48Those things don't happen that way.
00:55:56They don't.
00:55:58I've been such a fool, Alan.
00:56:00Oh, not a fool, my love.
00:56:02We're all afraid of failing.
00:56:05No.
00:56:07Not you.
00:56:09Oh, yes, me.
00:56:11I never knew that.
00:56:13I never showed you.
00:56:15Have you been keeping things from me?
00:56:19No. Will you kiss me?
00:56:22I thought you'd never ask.
00:56:43This is Budd, Sheriff.
00:56:55We've checked the north slope for Mr. and Mrs. Seaburg.
00:56:58No sign of anyone or anything in this area.
00:57:14I love you.
00:57:16I love you.
00:57:18I love you.
00:57:20I love you.
00:57:22I love you.
00:57:24I love you.
00:57:26I love you.
00:57:28I love you.
00:57:30I love you.
00:57:32I love you.
00:57:34I love you.
00:57:36I love you.
00:57:38I love you.
00:57:40I love you.
00:57:42I love you.
00:57:47Did you say something?
00:57:56Let's go home, Gar.
00:58:00You're way up, Jim.
00:58:02Come on.
00:58:12Are you sure you want to go home?
00:58:37Come on.
00:58:42Come on.
00:58:52Come on.
00:59:12Come on.
00:59:19I'm going to check the barn, Cole.
00:59:27Tony, wait a minute.
00:59:30Up there on the hill.
00:59:32I know it's gone, but I saw it. I swear.
00:59:35We're going to have to go back over the bridge and turn around to get over there.
00:59:43Wait!
00:59:47Wait!
00:59:52Good.
00:59:54Tony!
00:59:57Are you okay?
00:59:59We're all right.
01:00:01The sheriff and his deputy are up there looking for her right now.
01:00:12Tony!
01:00:14Tony!
01:00:43So, we have gathered to pay our last respects.
01:00:47We pray this will be a time of strength for Mr. and Mrs. Smith,
01:00:52as well as the rest of us here today.
01:00:54Let us all pause for a moment of reflection and silent homage to Buster Smith.
01:01:12Ready, aim, fire.
01:01:42I told the sheriff I was going to catch up with him.
01:01:45I guess you two better get some sleep, huh?
01:01:47No, I'll go with you.
01:01:50After the night you've been through?
01:01:52Sure.
01:01:53I'm asleep when you come in.
01:01:55Wake me up.
01:01:57Wake up!
01:01:59The sheriff himself shot it right between the eyes.
01:02:01We're bringing it in.
01:02:04The sheriff himself shot it right between the eyes.
01:02:06We're bringing it in.
01:02:08Yeah!
01:02:31I couldn't believe one of those things would be out in the winter.
01:02:33Yeah, I'm amazed.
01:02:34Well, there's some shock, huh?
01:02:38Whoo-hoo!
01:02:41Hey!
01:02:42Whoo!
01:02:47Let's go!
01:02:48Let's dance!
01:02:49Come on!
01:03:08Let's go!
01:03:25Well, Mr. Siegel, huh?
01:03:27The only thing is it's a lodge.
01:03:29Okay.
01:03:31Do you mind if I ask you a yes or no question?
01:03:35Well, that all depends.
01:03:37As a friend?
01:03:38Quite.
01:03:40More as a time saver, though.
01:03:42Because if your answer is yes, there's no sense in us talking.
01:03:47Did you know you were killing the wrong thing?
01:03:51All I know for sure, Mr. Seberg, is that, uh...
01:03:55something came charging out of that brush at me...
01:03:59and it wasn't human.
01:04:02Are you that sure that it was the wrong thing?
01:04:05Well, I don't know, but it seems to me that the best way to find out...
01:04:08is to cut it open and see what's inside.
01:04:11Look, Sheriff, if the people of this town are in danger...
01:04:14don't you think it's your responsibility to warn them?
01:04:17Even if it means calling off the winter carnival.
01:04:21Look, Mrs. Seberg, uh...
01:04:24what is it that I'm gonna warn the people against?
01:04:28Uh, a man-beast legend whose very existence is hotly disputed?
01:04:33Disputed by whom?
01:04:35Well, by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, for one.
01:04:38I wouldn't know this, but I talked to Washington this morning...
01:04:42and they said that they don't have one piece of evidence...
01:04:45nothing they've seen or heard that would stand up...
01:04:48under scientific scrutiny, unquote.
01:04:51Now, is that what you want me to warn the people against?
01:04:54Do you honestly expect them to believe it?
01:04:57Now, an unseasonal bear is one thing...
01:05:00but a legend is... well, just that, a legend.
01:05:04Bigfoot has been sighted in the Northwest for the last 150 years.
01:05:08There are verified recordings of attacks.
01:05:11I had a man on my television show just recently...
01:05:14who swears he threw a rock at one and it ran away.
01:05:17But I don't think what we've seen is Bigfoot.
01:05:20I don't think it's as simple as that.
01:05:23I agree.
01:05:25There have been enough happenings around here...
01:05:27but all it takes is one person who doesn't believe it was a bear...
01:05:31and you'll have a stampede on your hands.
01:05:33That's just the point.
01:05:35I don't want these hills full of people shooting at each other.
01:05:39Now, you don't believe it was that bear, do you?
01:05:42No, it was not a bear.
01:05:45What do you think it was?
01:05:47I don't know. A mutant of some kind.
01:05:50Something left over from the last ice age. I don't know.
01:05:53Whatever it is, it's still out there. And it's a killer.
01:05:56What do you suggest we do?
01:05:58What you told my husband we should do in the first place.
01:06:01But this time, let's really do it.
01:06:04That's right.
01:06:06And you can count on me, Sharon.
01:06:08What you're saying is you want us to go up there...
01:06:12just the two of us and destroy this thing.
01:06:14That's right.
01:06:16Just the three of us.
01:06:22Just the four of us. Everybody ready?
01:06:26Let's go.
01:06:56Let's go.
01:07:26Let's go.
01:07:56Let's go.
01:08:26Let's go.
01:08:56Let's go.
01:09:26Let's go.
01:09:56Cold.
01:09:58I think we should call it a day and head back for the camper.
01:10:26Let's go.
01:10:56Let's go.
01:11:26Let's go.
01:11:45Well, he knows where we're at.
01:11:47Maybe we ought to move camp.
01:11:49No, we're going to stay right here.
01:11:51Settle down and wait for him.
01:11:53Better than cruising around on the off chance that we might sight him.
01:11:57He's got a point.
01:11:59Well, we'll have to keep watch all night.
01:12:01Two at a time.
01:12:06I said the four of us, didn't I?
01:12:08You did.
01:12:10Look, you two go first. I'll make dinner.
01:12:12Tony?
01:12:13Okay, will you hold, Ethan?
01:12:24You're bluer, you know.
01:12:26What?
01:12:27Your eyes.
01:12:31Can I ask you a question that's been following me around for a long time?
01:12:36Yeah.
01:12:38Why did you decide against me?
01:12:42I didn't decide against you.
01:12:44I didn't decide against you.
01:12:46I didn't decide against you.
01:12:48I didn't decide against you.
01:12:50I didn't decide against you.
01:12:52I didn't decide against you, Tony.
01:12:54I decided for Gar.
01:12:56I loved you both, you know.
01:12:58But he needed me.
01:13:00I didn't.
01:13:03But it's okay, huh?
01:13:05You've just answered an eight-year-old question.
01:13:10Friends?
01:13:13Friends.
01:13:15Always.
01:13:23I love you.
01:13:37Gar, what's, gentlemen?
01:13:39I made some dinner. It's on the table for you.
01:13:41All right. Sounds great.
01:13:52I love you.
01:14:22Good morning.
01:14:52Oh, my God!
01:15:10Cole!
01:15:12Cole!
01:15:14Are you hurt?
01:15:16Oh, my God!
01:15:18Come on, Gar!
01:15:20Cole!
01:15:21Tony!
01:15:23What happened to you?
01:15:25Cole!
01:15:51I'm sorry.
01:16:02I just slowed down.
01:16:04It's not chasing us anymore.
01:16:06It got what it wanted.
01:16:09Well, he's no longer killing just to eat.
01:16:12That last attack wasn't mindless.
01:16:15That was a planned counterattack.
01:16:17We're not gonna get very far walking.
01:16:20The barn's down here. Let's head for it.
01:16:23Hey, Tony.
01:16:25That's not a very good idea.
01:16:27Why not?
01:16:28Because that's where he's been stashing his food.
01:16:30Can you imagine us being there when he shows up?
01:16:33It's already lost two from there.
01:16:35If he's as smart as you think he is, he won't come back to the barn again.
01:16:39Let's go.
01:16:47Come on.
01:17:17Come on.
01:17:40Hey, Tony, where are you going?
01:17:42There's three sets of skis and three rifles back up at that camper.
01:17:46Why don't you stay with Ellen? There's no sense in all this risk in our lives.
01:17:49Hold on.
01:17:52We decided we would stay together until this thing was over. Remember?
01:17:56Yeah. We're more vulnerable if we split up.
01:17:59Okay. Let's go.
01:18:17This new snow is just gonna make everything more difficult for us.
01:18:21Yeah, but a lot easier for it.
01:18:25Come on.
01:18:46Come on.
01:19:02Wait a second.
01:19:04Where were your rifles when the camper turned over?
01:19:07By the side of it.
01:19:09But the extra rifles were inside, weren't they?
01:19:12Yeah.
01:19:13I'll pull the logs out, will you? Go in and get them.
01:19:16Tony, come here.
01:19:18Come on.
01:19:43Ellen, can you see the rifles?
01:19:45No.
01:19:46What do you think?
01:19:48There's some skis.
01:19:49Oh, great. Throw them up.
01:19:51Okay.
01:19:54There should be a service revolver in the cab.
01:20:08Ellen, look in the closet. The rifles might be there.
01:20:12All right.
01:20:17Let's go.
01:20:30Tony, look.
01:20:32I found a gun.
01:20:34I used it.
01:20:38I hit him.
01:20:41Gunner, finish him!
01:20:49Get the rifles, Ellen, and the other skis.
01:20:52Okay.
01:21:10Let's go.
01:21:40Let's go.
01:22:10Let's go.
01:22:40Let's go.
01:23:10Let's go.
01:23:40Let's go.
01:24:10Finish him! Finish him!
01:24:40Let's go.
