00:00Don't you need the collar, if you're going to put on my necktie?
00:15Bend down a moment, would you, sir? Thanking you.
00:19Don't pull too tight, I might choke. I'm funny like that.
00:24Courage. I'll be swinging pretty soon.
00:27Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four.
00:40Sorry to barge in like this. I'd like a word or two with you, Kirk.
00:46I've only got four seconds, Colonel.
00:49You've got as long as I like. It's postponed.
00:53My office is at your disposal, of course, Colonel. And so I should hope.
01:00Sir Sebastian Wilcox of the Foreign Office.
01:04As you may know, Warren, Sir Sebastian is in charge of counterespionage concerning the armament industry.
01:10Scott, you already know, don't you? You were colleagues at one time, I believe.
01:15Sure, I know Scott.
01:20A cigar, Mr. Warren?
01:23Thanks. I believed I'd given them up for good.
01:26A pardonable error, after all.
01:30A pardon? Are you serious, Colonel?
01:32Absolutely, old fellow. A pardon and what's more, pension and back pay from time of arrest, if you get out of this alive.
01:40And in my book, the odds are a million to one.
01:42A million dollars? A million to one, you'll break your neck at last.
01:46Big deal, if you get my meaning.
01:49Do you prefer to go back to the gallows?
01:51I prefer a million dollars to a pension and back pay.
01:54This is the perfect opportunity to re-enter the service with honor.
01:57Thanks a lot.
01:58Oh, come, my boys. A pardon nothing to you?
02:00Not if I'm dead.
02:02You'll have redeemed your honor. Your mother will get the pension. And what's more, you'll have lived a few more months.
02:07Now, what about it, Warren?
02:08But why have you chosen me for the job?
02:10Because if you die, no one will bat an eyelid.
02:14Oh, I see.
02:20When do I begin?
02:23You begin the moment we have all the information necessary to brief you completely.
02:28Destination?
02:31Chaux-de-Fonds.
02:34Switzerland.
02:36Basel gang?
02:38Somebody called Mr. X.
02:40He's chief of a very important organization for commercial espionage, which is making trouble for the police.
02:47And our boys in particular, everywhere.
02:51Broken Glukons, Chaux-de-Fonds, testing a new alloy with a very high melting point for use in space capsules and supersonic jets.
03:00And one of our agents in Zurich has tumbled to the fact that Mr. X is planning to steal a secret formula.
03:07How did you find out about that?
03:09It's the same old story.
03:11Every time.
